Brandon Vera... Are you completely stupid? You're face would get rearranged again in a rematch. Thing is If Thiago Silva didnt fake the urine sample he would have been allowed fight, So get you're facts straight before you start talking **** Vera. It wouldn't have changed the fight outcome. Looks like you want another broken nose :).

Vera is an idiot...after Jones destroyed him he was running around saying don't believe the hype he's not that good...ummm yeah ok.

I was surprised that Thiago was able to hold him down like he did...I want to see them fight again when Silva serves his fake urine suspension

Silva wins a rematch. I'd watch it. Vera dodged a bullet, and instead of being grateful, or even feeling lucky, he just keeps running his mouth.

Exactly!! If Thiago didn't do what he did, Vera wouldn't even be in the ufc right now.

The 2nd fight would look exactly like the first, and for him to group himself with Rashad, Lyoto and Shogun as the ones capable of beating Jones, DELUSIONAL.

If you actually listen to the whole interview, he highly regards Jon Jones.  He says that he has never been hurt that bad in a fight in his life.

Brandon Vera has potential. It has always seemed to be a mental issue for Vera. He held himself in such high regard and was no short of confidence earlier in his career. Since losing he hasn't looked the same. I don't think he's showing off all he can in the cage, and unfortunately he could be out of the UFC because of this eventually. Hopefully he can pull himself together.

a stand up war? Never thought I'd hear that to describe an Eliot Marshall fight... did you see what Cane did to him in his return?

While I agree with you that Vera would probably likely lose to Silva in a rematch, how does that make Silva any less of a *******? Unless of course you think cheating the system is cool

@poir420 Can you link me to an article where Vera said that? In the interview with Helwani Vera had nothing but praise for Jones. It would not be smart to call another overrated and bad after getting your face smashed in by them

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2010/8/24/1648486/brandon-vera-still-not-buying-jon

Found 2 different articles that pretty much say the same thing

"During the fight I remember thinking, ‘Man, really? All the hype was about this guy?’" Vera said. "I specifically remember saying to him in my head, ‘Man, you (expletive) suck.’

"Right when the ‘k’ came out in my head, I got blasted."

"It’s hard for me to say because he beat me, but I still don’t believe the hype," Vera said. "I like Jon Jones as a fighter, but I owe that (expletive). He’s definitely not coming to my house for Christmas."

"“All of a sudden, he was shooting for a takedown, and I’m like, ‘Oh, you’re a wrestler now? Remember, I’m the black belt in jiu-jitsu. And you’re shooting on me now? This is a wrap." - Nate Diaz"

Sadly for Vera, i think Thiago would crush him in any given fight.
