Lets give it half a year or so before we truly judge UFC on ESPN but my prediction is the numbers won't get any worse. Different fans is always good, easier access to casuals etc. Anxious to see the real UFC debut on ESPN with Cain vs Francis

 @Swain I think this will be an enduring relationship, for better or worse. UFC is and has been tryin to legitmize itself as a 'sport' as opposed to sports entertainment since the jump and pairing with ESPN is probably the best way of achieving that.

I agree with both you guys. Gearing it towards the more casual fan is a wise decision, IMO. Armchairfighters, like myself, might butch or moan or curse slam or yell but we’re hook line and sinker. We’re definitely coming back every event. We market ourselves. It’s the new viewers the need to entice.
