I didn't intend on starting a thread for this I was trying to post in the UFC Lincoln thread but seems like everyone that post anything gets downvoted even if it's a decent post. Talking about a turn off...

I suppose there must be too much activity on these threads. I'll just chime into one of a few closed Facebook groups, twitter, etc. for future events.

I upvoted you all here. 

Its just weird. One post in particular was after Rani subbed Sanders. I simply stated he deserves a nice step up in competition such as Brian Kelleher or Alejandro Perez and then the downvotes started. I realize I'm no Sean Shelby or Maynard but those fights to make sounded decent. Didn't realize my post score. I'm not really big on that. Cool feature and all but I like this site for it's fighter database and various regional shows. I'm far from a casual I think.lol I follow PFL, AXS TV fights, RIZIN, Invicta, Cage Warriors, ACB, Titan, Pancrase, TKO, Brave CF, BAMMA, Bellator to name a few.

The up/down system really is stupid at this point. I agree that we should be able to see who up/down votes your posts. You have those annoying trolls that just go through and dislike every post (as someone did in this thread lmao). 


This site is full of intelligent, true MMA fans who really love the sport. Then there’s also the people that have no ******* clue what they’re talking about. I like to think that I’m a hardcore fan, I’m just not very active on here anymore. This is definitely the best place to come to to talk to real fans and have conversations about the sport, and that’s awesome. I don’t really care about the voting system, getting down voted doesn’t bother me. It just seems pointless now.

The voting system has created some of the greatest threads on this site. It's been very entertaining over the years to see so many upset over something that really shouldn't matter. This isn't the first time it's been brought up and it surely won't be the last.

I've only been a member for 6 years and have 1,183 post which breaks down to 0.54 post per day. 

I'll see if I can lower my average of post per day down. And just worry about my pick %. That's the best solution i can come up with. Nothing better than threads that lose posters right?

I haven't been around long enough to know what the down voting fiasco thread is but all im saying is its
Counter productive. Little losers with nothing better to do go around down voting. Most of them dont even post.
Nor do they even have an opinion or a love of mma. They r just losers with too much time on there hands. Like trolls and it just makes the website worse. of course nobody really gives a **** when it comes down to it. I still post what i wanna post when i wanna post it. I still call all voters ****ets when i want too. Only the all seeing eye in the sky greg can stop me. I only complain about it because i can see that dsuperstar aint the only one who goes somewhere else to post meaning a guy like him who contributes to making the site better is discouraged by stupid ****s who make the site worse and contribute nothing. He aint the only one neither. Guys like u dont really care about sharing info or exchanging opinions and ideas on the forums. U probebly barely care about mma at all anymore and thats fine but u shouldn't ruin it for those of us who do.
Masserbruce also contributes to the site so its annoying to c people downvote him for saying hello to the people in the thread. fishrat and mbach post updates to the site about current mma news and get downvoted. 
Its ****en stupid bro thats all. Personally i could care less if i get a million downvotes from a million ****s with nothing better to do. But when those votes send good mma fans elsewhere it makes the site worse. 
And That bugs me. I love tap its a comunity of a couple hundred mma fans like me who care about the sport 
Minus a couple thousand ****s who could give a **** about tap or mma and it would b incredible.

I second what @oldnick said.  Down voting means **** all and those who take it ******* seriously are mentally thick in the head.  This place isn't one big popularity contest.  It's a place to voice your mind about MMA with other fans.
