My question is which Gegard shows up. Rory Mac consistently goes full tilt and won't get overwhelmed like Carvalho did in my opinion.

    This card is better than some ufc cards. Im looking at some of these ppvs. Not to mention they have arguably the best mw in the world fighting arguably the best ww in the world.

    I have to agree mbach. I 100% believe that Mousasi is the best Middleweight right now. I'm not as confident in saying that Rory is the best Welterweight, just because I believe that Ben Askren could easily be considered the best (if he does end up coming out of retirement). Matchmaking wise, this is the best fight Bellator has put together since Chandler/Alvarez 2.

    Yep. I'm not saying for sure they are both the best at their weight classes, but both are in the conversation. Just look at who both guys have defeated. Rory has a dominant win over the current UFC champ. Gegard beat up Weidman bad in that fight. And that's just scratching the surface of both of there premier wins.

    Add in the Koreshkov vs lima fight and Pico taking a big step up and this card is nasty on paper. I'm not interested in Rampage vs Wand 4. I liked it best in Japan, and enjoyed it at UFC 92. Next month is UFC 229. You see the problem? Both are coming off a loss to an aging fighter (all hail to chael), and I don't enjoy watching two guys so far from their primes. Especially when they were among the elite at one point.

    Did Bellator get kicked off of Paramount or something?  Why is their card only listed on DAZN?

    Edit: Nope.  They are just promoting their new digital streaming partner which isn't FITE TV for some reason, as that would be too convenient.

    @hornet when DAZN pays you $100 million dollars, you definitely put your show on DAZN instead of FITE:

    https://www.mmafighting.com/2018/6/26/17505834/bellator-announces-broadcast-deal-with-streaming-service-dazn

    The promotion has agreed to terms on a new five-year, “nine-figure” distribution deal with online streaming service DAZN, Bellator officials announced Tuesday at a press conference at Viacom’s New York headquarters.

    The partnership will see Bellator air seven events per year exclusively on DAZN, plus an additional 15 events that will be simulcast in the United States on both Paramount Network and DAZN. Events that air via tape delay on Paramount Network will nonetheless be streamed live on DAZN.

    @Gregory

    Fair enough.  Event though I was teasing Bellator, this is a legitimately good deal for them in the long run given the rumors about the financial health of the promotion.  That said, they better hope that Viacom doesn't decide to pull out anytime soon and kicks them off cable. While the amount of cord cutting is growing by the year, Bellator still need their time slot on Paramount before television as we know it dies off as the main distribution platform of content.

    SO this event will not be on Paramount, right?  Can anyone tell me about DAZN?  is it free or a monthly thing?  Thanks in advance.

    You can get a free trial which will probably be enough to watch the fights. Beyond that it's $10 a month.
