Oliviera got the record after almost 9 years and 21 appearances in the UFC.

What about the skill level of the guys they tapped?

Not that Do Bronx is in any way better than Royce. Jim Miller made sure of that. But Charles' subs were against more skilled BJJ guys I'm sure.

@mulefloyd Well yeah. Oliviera's run was against incomparable competition for sure. How different things were then is definitely the only reason Royce had a record that lasted so long.

That's fair, I have no problem with the first being a 10-8, I just didn't think markos did enough to earn it. She definitely lost the last two.
