Kimball vs. Stošić
Darko Stošić, SUB, R1
expect this one to hit the ground at some point and Stosic pulls off some kind of arm lock or gets the neck for a 1st round tapout.

Bermudez vs. Grant
Manny Bermudez, SUB, R3
This is a fight Grant could win but for some reason he bails on his striking to grapple and it leads to trouble. Bermudez could lose the first 2 rounds only to have Grant for some reason want to wrestle. For that reason my pick Bermudez late submission

Meek vs. Fabiński
Emil Weber Meek, TKO, R2
Fabinski is no Usman. He will try to play the same game. However Meek will be able to do damage and end up winning by a 2nd round KO.

Ledet vs. Rakić
Aleksandar Rakić, DEC
Ledet dropping all the way to 205? Interesting to see if the weight cut takes too much out of him. He may lose his quickness edge dropping down to 205 as well. Rakic has a decent enough leg kick game to make the boxing of Ledet difficult to maintain. I like Rakic to take a razor close decision.

I think after Ledet's mediocre performance last time out, he has something to prove. Ledet will win this fight 1st Rnd.  TKO/KO. Rakic OK, but not in Ledet's class.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 355 Points   |   Tied for 1057th

Rua vs. Smith
Anthony Smith, TKO, R3
shogun's streak is overrated and smith may very well end it with a nasty knee.

Teixeira vs. Anderson
Glover Teixeira, DEC
i think glover gets the better of the exchanges but is ultimately too weary of td's to really land the big shot.

Miranda vs. Azaitar
Vitor Miranda, TKO, R2
abu came into wsof with some hype and was pretty disappointing in my eyes. miranda is a big guy and a finisher, i'm not sure abu can keep pace to outwork him.

Struve vs. Tybura
Marcin Tybura, TKO, R3
tybura can wrestle, grapple, and strike so unless struve lands something precise from outside, i see him getting taken down.

Zawada vs. Roberts
David Zawada, TKO, R2
idk anything about zawada, but ksw is a decent promotion and danny roberts hasn't beat anyone that belonged in the ufc so i'll take a flyer on the underdog.

Diakiese vs. Haqparast
Marc Diakiese, DEC
i'm trusting bonecrusher's chin and his "i ain't ever scared" attitude.

Hein vs. Hadžović
Nick Hein, DEC
nick hein by decision is always a pretty standard choice.

Meek vs. Fabiński
Emil Weber Meek, TKO, R2
initially heard a lot of people saying fabinski is gonna take meek down over and over, but i think emil can stay mobile and make td attempts not worth it with elbows.

Narimani vs. Taha
Nad Narimani, DEC
nad just seems to be fighting less obscure scenes.

Ledet vs. Rakić
Justin Ledet, DEC
ledet gonna jab his way to a decision unless rakic gets overexcited and runs into something.

Bermudez vs. Grant
Manny Bermudez, SUB, R2
i'm not sure grant can avoid getting caught and be effective from guard.

Kimball vs. Stošić
Darko Stošić, TKO, R1
seems like darko has beaten decent competition and i assume they think this is a winnable fight so i'll guess kimball's chin doens't hold out.

Stasiak vs. Liu
Damian Stasiak, DEC
stasiak can wrestle a bit, i'm not sold on liu's record.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 490 Points   |   Tied for 608th

Rua vs. Smith
Maurício Rua, TKO, R2
I can't imagine this going to decision unless Shogun completely shuts Smith down. I think there is a very high chance that a wild swing from Smith ends this fight early, but his tendency to get hit against an experienced and nuanced in a 2012 kinda way Shogun is a problem.

Teixeira vs. Anderson
Glover Teixeira, DEC
Anderson can definitely win this fight, but his only clear advantage will be strength. Useful in the wrestling, but I don't think he is going to have the craft to take Teixeira down often.

Miranda vs. Azaitar
Vitor Miranda, TKO, R1
I'm hoping we see old school Miranda here, but honestly... not that likely at his age.

Struve vs. Tybura
Marcin Tybura, TKO, R1
Struve has a depth of skill most people don't have at HW, but it usually doesn't matter because they aren't the appropriate skills for his build and chin. I think Tybura wins this 8 out of 10 times.

Zawada vs. Roberts
Danny Roberts, TKO, R3
Roberts has a clear experience advantage in terms of competition. He has only lost to relatively good fighters recently, so we might see a one sided blowout here.

Diakiese vs. Haqparast
Nasrat Haqparast, SUB, R2
Diakiese is so dynamic and powerful, he may just light Haqparast up, but I think he is going to end up on the wrong side of jabs and takedowns too often and lose the thread in the second round.

Hein vs. Hadžović
Nick Hein, DEC
Hadzovic beat the best guy he has faced, and lost to somewhat more journeyman fighters... I'm assuming a decent scrap without too much in the way of fireworks that ends up going to a split decision win for Hein.

Meek vs. Fabiński
Emil Weber Meek, TKO, R2
Violence. Clobbering Intensifies.

Narimani vs. Taha
Nad Narimani, DEC
After this fight I'll probably know who one of these guys are.

Ledet vs. Rakić
Aleksandar Rakić, TKO, R2
EIther Rakic will bring the serious fight out of Ledet, or this fight will be very bad.

Bermudez vs. Grant
Manny Bermudez, SUB, R3
Davey finally back in the mix... against a really tough opponent. I hope Grant gets to showcase his skills, but this might be a frustrating night for him.

Kimball vs. Stošić
Darko Stošić, TKO, R1
blurring the lines between the empty LHW and Uninspiring HW rankings.

Stasiak vs. Liu
Pingyuan Liu, TKO, R2
I'm expecting some mad aggression from Liu here, hanging out with Stasiak probably isn't going to be entertaining or good for him.

Bermudez with submission win...

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 5 Perfect, 615 Points   |   Tied for 141st

Grant has had some health issues recently and hasn’t fought often, while Bermudez has been active and winning. Like the title of my post, I have Bermudez winning with a submission.

Nasqaradt is a bad style match up for Diakese. I see nasqaradt via decision. Diakeses flash is so bloated and now that his confidence is diminished I expect efficient fundamentals to make 2 of 3 judges believe nas won.

I also think glover by Ko is a pretty sure thing. And I'm not sold on Smith, just look at who he's been fighting ffs.

Rua has held up very well for an oldie. Smiths range isn't that hard to penetrate, and he needs you to be on the outside to do his best work. Shogun will make his way inside and land on smith, smith will look tired way quicker than people expect and shogun will just overwhelm him. My guess is round 3.

Rua vs. Smith
Maurício Rua, TKO, R3
Yes, Shogun's body is almost completely shot. But he's still quite crafty and I think Smith is being given too much credit for what he did to Rashad Evans. Let's get one more finish for Shogun for old time's sake!

Struve vs. Tybura
Marcin Tybura, DEC
Pulling for Struve but pretty much expecting Tybura to get takedowns and for this to become a dull fight.
