UFC will open a subsidiary in Russia


Russian-Chinese Investment Fund (RCIF, established by the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the China Investment Corporation), Mubadala Investment Company and the American company Ultimate The Fighting Championship (UFC) decided to establish a joint venture, whose mission will be develop the MMA battle industry in Russia and the CIS.


As reported in the press service of the Foreign Investment Fund of Russia, the established company will participate in the celebration of events under the UFC brand. It is assumed that the company will own the rights of electronic commerce, media content generated, the conclusion of sponsorship contracts, as well as the production of several licensed products.

M-1 Global will seek and train new fighters in Russia and the CIS. According to the director of this organization, Vadim Finkelstein, the joint work with the UFC and the Russian-American Chamber of Culture is "to help take the MMA to a fundamentally new level".
