Bellator's viewership went down because Paramount Network isn't a place for them. The viewership for the channel as a whole has gone up, while Bellator has just regressed. I wholeheartedly agree with Bruce on this one; I can't find myself that excited for this marquee signing outside of a few matchups, because I pretty much expect Lyoto to pull in some decent ratings at best.
None of their free agent signings have been draws, and that's a fact. I'm not talking about the retirees they coaxed out of retirement, but the people they contracted to deepen their divisions. Things have not been working ratings wise, and stars have not been built, so I feel like the DAZN deal will make or break them.

Rory Macdonald wasn't a good free agent signing?? I agree that "most" of the free agent signings haven't panned out, like Benson Henderson... It's almost painful to watch his fights anymore, especially when he saves all his gas to celebrate after the final bell has rung like he just kicked dudes ass.... But Rory Macdonald was a great free agent signing... And I'd even add Gegard and Bader to that VERY SHORT list.. But the others... Rampage, Chael, Koscheck.. Yuck. Just puked in my mouth
