This is a fight cowboy can win. He is a pretty significant underdog but depending on which cowboy shows up I think this is definitively a fight he can win. PICK: CERRONE

Im thinking the same thing. But i always think twice when the guy i think for sure is the fave (Cerrone) comes out as the dog. Alot of up and commers have been beating the oldschool guys lately. Maybe the odds makers c this one going the same as the till fight when cerrone got ko'd. I can c that happening i originally had rocky to win by ko but i thought he would b a dog. And favs vs dogs on the last two ufc events have been about 23-2 only one dog on each of the last two cards. Three events back it was 6 faves 6 dogs. u never know with cerrone seems like he just fights for a paycheck these days. Rocky is hungry. Eye of the tiger and all that.

I'm pretty confident in Cowboy too, not too impressed with Leon's striking that will give Cowboy too much trouble and on the ground or the clinch Cowboy should dominate. Plus, he sounds amped

Cowboy will win this because that's what he does whenever I pick him to lose. He only ever loses when I'm convinced he's a sure thing.

Cowboy is going to get finished. He and Leon aren't friends, and as long as Leon can bully the bully,
Cowboy will wilt.

Have you seen a Leon Edwards fight? He's incredibly low output, the opposite of a bully fighter...

Ended up changing my pick to Cerrone.

Leon has been leaning on his wrestling to pull him out of tight spots, and I don't think that's the way to go against Cowboy. He'll definitely have his moments on the feet, but I think he'll get rocked, shoot for a takedown and then get submitted.

Would love to be wrong though, always nice to see new guys rise through the ranks.

@mikeyg

Yeah I think so. He's a south-paw though, and that tends to give cowboy trouble. I meant pressure as in setting the tempo. The longer this fight goes, Cowboy has more experience finishing late.

We shall see. Maybe I shouldn't be so confident in Cowboy just seems like a fight made for him.

I'm not really confident either. If you look at who has beaten Cowboy, it's always high talent guys.

But I feel like if leon can set the pace as a southpaw, usually pressure with a right as a jab gives Cowboy trouble. However, if Cowboy can set that steady pace without pressure in his face with a right followed by the left body kick, then he should be able to get a late stoppage imo. Of course I could be wrong completely, but that's the reason I said bully the bully. Set the pace early.
