Arlovski and Esparza clearly lost their fights. There should be 0 controversy in those decisions unless you’re a but hurt biased peon or doesn’t understand what was happening.
I thought Benavidez might of won the second two rounds but they were close enough I’d definitely not say it was a robbery..just a real close fight. It was basically a draw. This was the only fight I picked the incorrect winner of and I’d love to say robbery..but I simply wasn’t.
Romero definitely got **** in by judges but it’s hard to feel bad for the guy when he missed weight again. I thought the two rounds he won both could’ve possibly been 10-8s but I though the first could’ve been one too...possibly. I definitely think one of the two should’ve been a 10-8 Romero though so I think it should’ve been a tie. So I’ll go with Romero.

Maybe esparza lost but arlovski was closer if u facter in tais face by the end. As far as bennavidez if pettis himself was surprised to hear he won the fight then he thought he lost. He felt like he lost so... you know?
As for romero i would agree great fight none the less.

Swain pretty much hit the nail on the head.
I thought Joe B did enough but I am happy with the decision ((except for the 30-27 part - how do you give the last round to Pettis?)) as I think Joe is stating to look his age and I want to see how good Pettis gets, the result means that we get the fights we probably should. Tai won a 3 round fight over Arlovski so nobody can say he isn't legit, he lasted 8 mins more than I thought he could. Esparza, who cares? she won a split last outing. What goes around.
Hard not to feel bad for Romero. I thought he was going to finish my no.1 guy several times, got the ol' heart going. If he had have won the decision, we'd have a hell of a trilogy. Those men show up to fight. Holy ****! That was awesome. It was so good that I barely care CM punk was allowed to fight on Overeem's blood,

There was only one round that could have been scored a 10-8 for Romero, and that was the fifth. Round 1 could easily have been scored a 10-8 for Whittaker. Just as easily.

Benavidez, Pettis stopped really throwing effectively in the second. Others were just close fights.

I thought Arlovski clearly won even when picking Tuivasa.
Also thought Benavidez won since Pettis keep moving back and barely landing.

@mikeyg I thought Arlovski kept it super close I wouldn't if been surprised if he got the nod but I was confident Tui won.
Though the commentary seemed up on the air and probably more complementary towards Andre and he landed frequently, I felt Tui had him backing up and landed the more devastating dhots/combos. I know Tui got busted up but I felt Andre looked far more phased and actually rocked over cut up. JMO
Very close fight though. I can't really fault that outtake.

@loudenSwain, I'll have to re-watch the fight, I remember Arlovski winning the first half of the fight getting rounds 1-2 and kinda gassing out in the last half. Optics-wise it wasn't smart for him to brag at the end with 10 seconds left when he was getting lit up by a gassed Tuivasa in round 3.
I stick by thinking Arlovski won, I remember looking at the strike total on the screen in round 1 or 2 and the end of round 3 and saying there's no way Tuivasa has landed that many shots on Andrei. The commentary is moot to me since I criticize all the commentators constantly for the bias and the pointless meandering commentary.

I thought all the decisions were too close to say one fighter got robbed. But at the end of the Pettis fight I remember thinking that Pettis let a big oppurtunity slip. I rewatched colby vs rda and whittaker vs romero and thinking the judges got it right. The only other alternative i thought was maybe a draw for main event

Only one that was iffy for me was Tuivasa vs Arlovski. Hard to score that fight for Tai. Even if you're the one landing the dance, if you're getting countered endlessly and taking bad damage the fight shouldn't go your way.

All were close so no robberies. I was surprised that Tuivasa/Arlovski was unanimous while Bektic/Lamas was a split. The 2 I have the most opinion on were Pettis and Yoel. I thought the commentary was off as Pettis was pretty clearly countering effectively while Joe B was trying the bumrush method and not being very successful. As for the main event, anyone who would score rd 1 10-8 is either blind, an idiot, or most likely horribly biased and I'd bet a large amount of money they only scored it that way in hindsight. Rd 3 should've almost been an automatic 10-8 and while rd 5 wasn't nearly as good for Yoel, it was much more in his favor than rd 1 was for Whittaker so draw was probably the "correct" decisiion. Great fight and one the few 2-0 series that I would love to see a 3rd like Mike Brown vs. Urijah or Lawler/Rory

Too many decisions. Bejtic won but no way was it even close for Lamas to get a split.

Esparza and Benavidez lost IMO.
Romero got robbed because for some reason the refs didnt score any of his rounds a 10-8.
I'm fine with Tuivasa because he had the only takedown and the only knockdown in the fight.
