Seems to have been a bit of slap and tickle between these two as of late of social media. Nothing in that fight for Tony of course, but Al sure as **** wants it.It's a fight I'd like to see, and I would take Al for the upset given how hittable Ferguson looked against lee, and there's no telling how he bounces back from Knee surgery.

He should fight Nurmy. I think offering him Al would be insulting to be honest. Not sure why getting an injury now puts him back fighting the 11th ranked light weight. I think it pretty ridiculous that they took his interim belt from him as he fought the harder fight to get it.

Honestly man I have a sinking feeling that Tony will be out for a long time...possibly a year or longer.It's a bad injury to get and will take some serious rehab.
I can understand why they stripped him but it definitely sucks. Its a classic case of wrong place wrong time. Wrong place in the sense that if they hadn't done it the belt would still be in Limbo after having been in Limbo for nigh on two years, and wrong time in the sense that his fight nurmy had already been pulled multiple times.
Fortuna just really seems to have it in for him. She really can be a merciless, sadistic *****.
So despite the posturing I doubt Iaquinta vs Tony happens anytime soon. I'd like to see Al back in the saddle pronto, he didn't get worked over horribly and should be up for a quick turnaround. Give him Gaethje if he's cleared.
