I agree and disagree. Very 10000 daysish. Disappointed? Not a chance. An extension of their already exception body of work that is immediately recognisable yet somehow different. Heartfelt and primal.
I will admit it is the closest thing to elevator music that they have released but did you really expect middle aged men to deliver an album full of youthful angst? Will reserve final opinion until I hear it on shrooms.
Agree the Danny is the standout on this album so far. How many arms does he even have anyway?

Lateralus remains the standout for me. Frankly this album is terrible. Well, it isn't terrible, it's just not interesting.I didn't expect angst, I expected innovation and another level of sophistication, not a B-sides filler fest. Guitar work is abysmal. 10,000 days was overall ordinary, this is worse thus far.

10,000 days is great.
It's like Metallica's Load album. Not what I was expecting or wanted, but a damn fine album nonetheless.

10,000 days has one good song on it, and that is right in two. I play it sometimes, still. Vicarious is just ok.
Lateralus basically doesn't have an unexceptional song on the whole Album. I would say the same of Aenema.
Oh well. At least Radiohead are still delivering I guess.
Also agree Load is a good album.

It's average IMO.
Basically Danny needs to leave that band and do his own thing. Well, something serious unlike Pygmy Love Circus which is as far as I know the only side venture he's ever done. Take Justin with him. Adam and Maynard can go ponce around with wine or whatever.

@fish and zulizanni think fish is right sounds like old tool. No progression at all. Personally even ti always loved their music tool and perfect circle both but I've always felt Maynard was a tool. Pun intended.
Pure sell out. Left his band to start perfect circle all the while complaining and whining about how he's not a sell out. ******* tool indeed.
