Met ed after one of his solo shows here in Australia. He's actually a really down to earth dude, doesn't come off as preachy at all. Likes to talk gear.

Born and raised in the worst capitol city in the US... Harrisburg, PA.
(I'm serious, last year, our city was 37 million in debt. Because we just needed that goddamn trash incinerator)

You could add The Disco Biscuits to PA music groups. But yeeaaaa, all the guys from Live are great dudes. They'd stay 2 hours after a set taking pics, talking and autographs. Now Brett Scallions, lead singer from fuel... He's your classic ******** *********

@fish if u could only play one forever would u pick a Les Paul or a stratocaster?
I'm stratocaster all the way. If u pick Les Paul we can't be buddies anymore.

@Free definitely a strat. Strat, jazzmaster, Telcaster, les paul in that order. But if I could choose ANY guitar, it would be none of those, it would probably be my Carvin. That said If you don't like strat cleans...well then you probably don't like cleans. I don't rate LP's really, theyr'e a bit like PRS's (overpriced **** IMO, never played one that has been nearly worth the price tag) it's hard to get a good one, even Gibson pauls are mostly pretty ****** makes after about the year 2000's. Anyone who wants a great LP but doesn't want to pay ******** money should just buy an 80's era Greco LP. AS good or better than the real deal and a fraction of the cost.
But yeah, they are heavy, top part of the scale is hard to access etc and I don't like the thick ass necks. That said strats are overpriced for what they are. Don't ever buy, or let anyone you know buy an American made strat unless it's a masterbuilt (and even then if you have that kind of money to spend, look elsewhere and you'll get ****loads more for your money). A mexican or Jap strat with upgraded pickups and pots is better than an American made strat after a professional setup and intonation. Guaranteed.
If I got to choose which strat to play forever, it would probably be a superstrat with a selector switches, because there's basically no type of guitar (other than acoustic of course) you couldn't play on it. With a stetsbar bridge, because literally every single tremolo strat bridge ever made is a *************.

hate the arms race that came along with heavy metal and hardcore. Everyone just try to play faster and harder then the last guy. Same for how they all acted like spoiled little kids throwing aggressive little temper tantrums.
I just grew out of the more extreme heavy stuff. No melody sometimes it's like they're just trying to be loud and annoying.
P.S. Just sharing.not trying to **** on stuff u like.

No offense taken my friend @Free
To me, metal represents the tone of my soul. Along with old rock.
and also I need something to relate to in the darkness, not just the light. This life isn't all butterflies and happiness...
"I'm happy!" by Pharell was the most demonic and disturbing song I've ever listened to. Stuff like that is cancer.

@Bruce I've seen a lot of metal bands live. Slayer (bunch of times), killswitch, machinehead, devildriver, soulfly/sepultura as well as nu-metal bands like Korn, the deftones, etc.
I can say without hesitation that Phil Anselmo has the craziest vocal power of any frontman I've seen. It's actually pretty unbelievable, he was able to reach levels of nastiyness without even trying that basically everyone else had to nearly pop veins to achieve. His natural speaking voice is basically an idling 12 cylinder truck engine, a limitless furnace of violence, hatred mayhem and destruction. Truly born to do it; he could never have done anything else.
That said, he's also a massive ****head and was hitting on my girlfriend at the time while on stage at the reinventing the steel tour concert I went to in Brisbane. I didn't know whether to **** or go blind, but then Dimebag walked over and said something to him and he shut the **** up.
But yeah, I've seen him in pantera, down, and superjoint ritual and he basically just blows everyone away in terms of raw power. ******* smackhead ego maniac but it is what it
