I think it pretty clear that USADA had a big impact on him. He not quite as noticeable as a Hendericks, but he up there.

IDK if it was even USADA in Barao's case. It might not have helped but he hasn't looked good since Dillashaw brutalized him & then he KOed himself in the bathroom weight cutting for the rematch.

Barao's losses have only been to top 10 fighters. Not sure Kelleher falls into that group. I think his Iuri win was a bit of a fluke. It made everyone believe he was better than he really is.

Honestly I think a lot of it has to do with nova uniao and their MO of beating the living **** out of one another during sparring, all the time, every time. They seemed to have wound it back a little bit the last couple of years though.

I'm still confident Barao has enough in the tank to take Kelleher. Previously to Sterling (who he fought at a catchweight of 140), nobody has been able to take him down, and I don't see Kelleher doing it. It's true Barao has a lot of miles on him, but we shouldn't forget why he was considered the best p4p at one point.

unless barao can catch him early or turn it into a grappling match early, i'm expecting him to be significantly slower in r2 and 3, leaving the door open for an active fighter like kelleher to take rounds.
