Prediction: Vettori  |  Submission  |  Round 1

Vettori has shown stamina problems past the first round, and could be a problem if the fight goes later than that, but I think Vettori can catch Akhmedov with a shot or submission as well, but most likely early. I'll take Akhmedog to win a competitive decision.

Akhmedov's cardio isn't that good either, he did get finished by both Moraes and Zaleski in the third. Either guy could realistically win this, but I'll take the more versatile guy.

It's true that Akhmedov has stamina problems in the past at 170 but this being at 185 has me thinking he won't be depleted from a cut and his stamina has always been a problem against high output guys in the 3rd. I'm really going back and forth on this and I might settle on an early finish for Vettori. Akhmedov is the sloppier guy who I can see getting caught in something as he shoots in. He also tends to flurry in short bursts while leaving himself open. That being said I can also see him making it ugly and draining Vettori's gas tank.

I think Vettori, but I'm 0-4 on picking Akhmedov fights so I'm going with the Russian!
