If it's Rizin then yes, the fix is always in. It's a Yakuza controlled promotion.

@Imperator

No it isn't.  Sakakibara and Takada, with more focus on the latter of the two, have had deep Yakuza ties in the past but both have been forced to become legitimate promoters for fear of crackdown from the Tokyo police and the Japanese government.  Furthermore, Japan's government is aggressively going after all of the Yakuza clans the way the United States went after the mob.  It would be company seppuku for Sakakibara and Takada to re-entangle themselves and RIZIN with the Yakuza.

As for why people would pick Kandori over Garcia on this site, keep in mind that there are some accounts that purposely pick every underdog on the card as a gimmick.

I remember when an underdog gimmick account won the Bigfoot vs. Mir Fight Night picks.

It's all just PR Green. The Yakuza are a cultural institution in Japan and will never be eliminated, You can find them at every level of society, from the schooling system to the fisheries industries to street vendors.The way the US government and ancillary departments target the Mafia is absolutely not analogous to what Japan is doing right now.There are still around 22 very large Yakuza crime families operating businesses, both legitimate and illegitimate, in plain site. It'sestim ated that 5-7% of Japans total GDP is accounted for by Yakuza enterprises. There's essentially a sort of gentleman's agreement between the state and the Yakuza; something very different than ever existed with the Italian Mafia in the US.

Sakakibara might have cleaned up his image for the press, but that's the extent of it. It's mostly just a facsimile of normalcy. He might be slightly more white collar, and he might not make the amateur mistakes he did in the past, but he's still the same ************* he's always been, and Rizin is as corrupt and orchestrated as PRIDE/Dream ever was.

Actually @PilloryChoke  Blackadder is 9th all time here for solo event wins with less than half the picks of many (42K) with a 40% correct ratio.He wins a ****load of events although it's often small fight cards.

How long before even in Rizin where anything goes do they give up on Garcia? She is even less interesting than Cyborg. She claims she missed weight by 'only' 8.8lbs in stead of 26.4lbs, but 8.8 lbs is still monumentally unprofessional!
