we have a repeat, it's pretty clear who's the better man.

crazy how Holloway really ups the volume in the third round. You can clearly see the moment Aldo can't keep up and try to breathe for a bit and Holloway doesn't allow that.

Aldo was pretty damn tired at the end. I really wanted to see this rematch with a full camp from both fighters.

EDIT: Even with a full camp, I realize the result would probably be similar, with Aldo tiring out and being slaughtered in the later rounds. But I wanted to be sure, and I don't think I am right now.

Max Holloway absolutely dominated Aldo.  I wouldn't be surprised if he moved up to LW soon, considering how the weight cut for FTW seems to becoming a bit of a challenge for him.

It all comes down to pace. Holloway can keep that pace up for 5 rounds, Aldo can’t. It’s as simple as that. Awesome performance by the champ, and absolutely no respect lost for Aldo. He went down swinging, what a legend. It’s just an awful stylistic matchup for him.

Pederneiras was yelling at Aldo all the time: leg kick, leg kick! I guess Aldo really didn't feel confortable to focus on his kicks by fear of that counter punch.

Spidgreg, in no way or form did he win the first two rounds, you must have clicked the wrong link and watched their first fight

Vazio, Holloway was on him in perfect range, good call by Aldo not spamming leg kicks

@yoss yeah, I guess technically they are somewhat even, Holloway has more success with the jab due to his reach, but the real dealbreaker is the gastank and consequently the sheer output volume. Max just keeps increasing the pace, and the sheer volume of punches is just insane. Aldo can't never keep up with that.

@spudgreg

Are you kidding me?  Holloway was picking apart Aldo for all three rounds.  He took Aldo's best punches and  flurries and laughed at him.  Aldo looked exhausted after round one and was absolutely timid to throw leg kicks after round 1 due to Holloway countering him with punches every time he threw it.  Aldo got dominated.  Deal with it.
