Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 430 Points   |   Tied for 90th

Stephan Thompson shocked the world when he dropped johnny Hendricks to put himself on the map. Then he out struck long time top welterweight Rory MacDonald in a five round striking clinic . After failing to beat division champ Tyron woodly twice in two close back in forth affairs, Stephan Thompson is ready to get back in the win column. He will be facing a man who was counted out against Donald cerone but when he stepped into that octagon opposite cowboy, t hings changed. Stunningly he knocked down the fan favorite in round 1 then go on to finish him 60 seconds into round 2. His luck also fail when he lost a close decision to UFC legend Damien Maia. Now he looks to land hard shots against wonder boy to get his first shot at the title. Who will take this welterweight bout of the ages and will the fateful Victor be the next at a welterweight title shot.

It didn't shock me at all but I do remember the number of Johnny Hendricks here on topology was 80% to wonder boys 20%... The 80% must have been shocked.

At the time that was an upset, and was pretty telling of the skills that Wonderboy had and how much he had improved. Everybody pretty much counted Stephen out in that fight. Hell, I picked him and I didn't expect him to outclass Hendricks like that.

Not sure where you guys are getting this, there where a lot of people who thought Thomson would smoke him, myself included. I thought Johny only shot, was to land a heavy punch. It went exactly how my self and tons of others, saw it going.  It was an upset, but far from how you guys are making it sound.  Also was not some huge indicator of wonderboy improvement, since he could always do what he did, it was more indication of how far Johny has declined, in both speed and strength. that he had literally nothing for Thomson.

Hendricks was 76% favored over Thompson here on tap and was about a -277 favorite in the betting world. It's not exaggerating to say Thompson pulled off a moderate upset.

As far as Thompson vs Masvidal goes. If motivated Jorge shows up he merks Wonderboy imo, if passive Jorge shows up Thompson outpoints and pitter patters for 3 rounds.

That my point, it was not some massive upset, where everyone was counting him out (like people are suggesting here), this  aint Tito vs Alexander Schelmanko, where talking about. Where pretty much me and skeliher, were the only people arguing he win.  A lot of folks where giving thompson a good shot, even those picking hendricks.  Not like when everyone and there mother was saying tito would get wrecked by a middle weight. There a big difference between a moderate underdog and no one giving you a shot to win.

@Franklin, Actually if you read your first post carefully that's not what your post implied at all.

"Most people who under stood the sport and how ****** USADA Hendricks is, new what was going to happen, far from shocked the world"

So I felt the urge to correct you on that, the stats don't support your claim as well. I didn't think he was done, I picked Johny.

I was surprised that Hendricks could not get him to the ground.  He almost did but did not.
