Lately it just looks like Anderson is just ******* around out there and not taking things seriously at all. He is also getting up there in age as well but seems determined to finish his contract.

When Anderson signed that 10 fight contract I was so certain he'd retire earlier, but damn, he might actually finish this contract up and be done soon. I'd like this to be his last fight, win or lose.

I think it was in 2012 sometime when he was 37. Right after he destroyed Chael the 2nd time.

With all due respect, Silva has won 1 of his last 5 and it was kind of a robbery. I think Gastelum adds another brazilian legend to his victims.

I don't think there's any reason to count him out of the discussion for using steroids. Every professional athlete at the highest level of their sport uses PEDs, it's just a matter of who gets caught.

If you use PEDs in the UFC you will get caught. With the frequency and randomness at which USADA test you can't cycle. Back in the day pre USADA you could cycle on and off easily and not get caught. You try and cycle now you are going to get caught eventually.

@bigj you’re dreaming if you don’t think tens of fighters aren’t getting away with it every year. USADA made it harder, but it’s still happening otherwise so many wouldn’t get caught, they would just stop trying.

Some still think they can get away with it. They try and they get caught. It's very very clear a ton of fighters came off the gear and there performances have suffered. Those who haven't and try and cheat are getting popped right and left. I guarantee the % of clean fighters has gone way up in the UFC. Before USADA Fighters got maybe 2 or 3 scheduled tests a year. Now they are being tested upwards of a dozen or more times at Random intervals. It is hard to cycle when you don't know when the test is coming. Some will try and play the odds and get away with it most who try won't.

I'm pretty sure the % of clean fighters went up by no more than 10%. Even USADA has limited resources and patterns.

The level of clean fighters went up way more than 10% and the level of fighters suddenly visibly struggling went up a good chunk too. 2552 tests so far this year (not counting those done by the ACs on fight night) is going to deter users. Claiming everyone is on steroids is an excuse users use to justify their actions. When you know when the test is sure you can cycle off with time to spare. Now fighters are playing a dangerous game. They can take a band substance and have USADA show up the next day, they're ******. The chance of being caught pre USADA came down to user error only, now factors are user error and blind luck. Blind luck is not something most fighters are willing to stake their career on. There comes a point where the benefits of taking PEDs will be outweighed by the chances of getting caught and the damage it does to your career. The amount fighters get tested goes up exponentially chances of getting caught now are exponentially higher, and you think that only deterred 10% of users. Those who think they are smarter than the system get caught and **** their already short careers.
