It's basically the 3 possible doubles and the treble. Basically a full coverage bet for 3 selections but without the singles. So in this case it's $500 on Martinez and Shore, $500 on Martinez and Aspinall, $500 on Shore and Aspinall and $500 on Martinez, Shore and Aspinall to make a $2,000 total bet. The other one is the same concept. I checked with @Balamut a few pages back and he said it was OK to do them. It's a useful bet if you've got 3 selections you're confident in but also gives you a little safety net if one of them ****s up. I guess it's more common over here in Britain where we often do other combination bets like Patents, Lucky 15's/31's/63's, Yankees, Canadians, Heinz, Goliaths, Union Jack's ect.
