I have been blaming the UFC for that, AND the fact that Bisping wants easier fights.

It's not mutually exclusive criticism.

Jones vs Lesnar actually seems like a good idea to me. LHW doesn't have a clear #1 contender at the moment, both Gustafsson and Oedzemir have valid claims for a title shot, imo. They could headline some European fight night card for a title eliminator, and Jones could fight Lesnar at HW in a nontitle bout to stay active in the meantime.

I wish they would have Jones-Velasquez but that would not be as popular.

@Hornet, I do see it as a problem, but it's becoming a reality and not gonna change (it'll most likely get worse), so I have 2 options, continuously ***** and whine about or adjust myself to the new reality and try to enjoy what I can. I chose the latter.

If Whittaker was able to fight or Mousasi was still in the UFC maybe it would be more of a travesty.

The only thing I continuously ***** and whine about is Tyron Woodley ... I'm the rappinpapsoda to his Conor McGregor.

Brock would have to get all the **** that's in his system out of his system before he could even start being tested and then would have to go through 6 mandatory months of USADA testing.If Jones fought Lesnar next were looking at probably a year.That's a horrible idea.If they want that fight so bad Jones can fight someone while all that crap is being worked out.

the ufc is going to have a big heavyweight problem and light HW problem. Look at all the fighters in the top 10 of HW's who are old. travis browne will still be top ten and he has lost something like 6 of 9 fights.The LHW's are leaving cause they can't beat jones or cormier so your going to get alot of european guys fighting in these divsions. the most exciting division are the females and  MW, WW, LW and FW. i really like Ortega and justin Gaethje. they should had JG fight Khabib. 18-0 vs 24-0 and i think justins wrestling would be good enough to keep khabibs  grappling at bay so Gaethje could combo khabib into a bloody mess. i have never seen khabib take a really good combo from anyone. my best guess is they will put him up against nate diaz which is still good.

@mikeyg

TBH I don't blame Dana when Woodley refuses to use his athletic ability to be an exciting fighter, all because he doesn't want to deplete his limited gas tank or change his body to eliminate his issues with stamina so he can go five rounds.  At the end of the day, Dana is a promoter that needs to sell something that the consumers want and Woodley has done everything and anything to make himself unpalatable to fans and become a box office draw.  Everything from his ****** attitude and crying wolf about racism when he doesn't get his way like some petulant child to absolutely underperforming in fights when he has the spotlight on him to prove he is worthy of some payday fights with the likes of Nick Diaz and GSP.

Now if Woodley was having unbelievable finishes to fights and dominating like Anderson Silva, the story might be different.  However, because of all the things that I mentioned above, as well as how he used politics to get his title shot against Lawler when Wonderboy had done way more to earn a shot at the time, there is no way Dana can spin doctor Woodley as a champion worth watching on PPV.

T- wood sucks. he gave a closed eye to maia with one punch on first takedown so i think he could have knocked him out. i also thank holly holm for head kicking Betheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee into oblivion. Holm has given me my three favorite female highlights. rousey headkick and hammerfists, tates fifth round sub of her and now bethe the ***** gets head kicked and gets a concussion. Thanks holm. you go girl.

Jones-Lesnar isn't likely to happen until next Summer, which is good news, as it likely means he's going to defend the 205 belt once before that.

They need to make Jones vs. Gustafsson 2 before it becomes the great, eternal What If? in the division's history.

@skelliher  When Volkan is on a 3 fight win streak and beat the likes of OSP, Cirkunov, and Manuwa? I don't know man.

@Hornet, pretty sure the Glover fight, the fact that Gus has already had highly competitive fights against both the last champs (especially his fight with Jones which he won ;) ) and more quality UFC wins should give him the edge over Volkan.

Gus is the fight to make. They're only one fight apart as streaks go, Gus also has a KO win over Manuwa, Glover win > OSP win, Cirkunov is more or less there with the Blachowicz win so Alex takes via seniority, interest, quality of bodywork, pre-fight odds of winning and most other parameters.

If Volkan is the real deal, nothing wrong with giving him another fight.
