This ******* sucks! They practically force Maia to take a fight and then before that has even happened they go and book Woodley. At least given the timeline it's most likely not Conor.

What are the odds it's a Diaz brother?

@HJWalker I don't know who you want to see winning if Woodley vs Maia happens one day, but i can tell you this is a bad matchup for Demian.

Looking down the current list of top 10 WWs most viable contenders are tied up with opponents and others just don't make sense as challengers. It is possible for the winner of Maia v Masvidal do a quick turnaround if they don't get injured but it's super unlikely. So this limits possible opponents to someone switching weight divisions or a needle-mover that has been sitting on the shelf.

Love it to be Nick Diaz but he does not deserve it.

There's only 3 active welterweights I could see getting the fight with Woodley; Magny, Nelson or Usman, and none deserve it, so it being Diaz could actually be possible.

All in all, Maia got ****** over and it sucks.

Instead of that dumb gsp/bisbing match, make tyrun vs gsp and close the circle and the lineal belt at WW

If I had to pick, with nothing to really go on,i'd guess it will be vs Conor.I think some people are a bit blinded by this whole imo publicity stunt by Conor and even Dana getting in on it.I think it's one of those things like, well if it came together great,I doubt it,but lets run with this it's getting our name everywhere.I think it might be getting to the point where it's time to actually get back to business. If I had to pick i'd say it's Conor.

Looking at the non-scheduled plausible fighters...
Pick your poison:

McGregor
Wonderboy
Nick Diaz
Nate Diaz
GSP
Bisping @ Catchweight
Gunnar Nelson
Neil Magny
Mike Perry
Nate Marquardt
Mitchell Trubisky
Matt Hughes
Dan Hardy
Sage Northcutt
Mickey Gall
CM Punk

My guess is Nick, but I've seen some people stamping down that rumor.

Idk who else it could be. Nate? WME would do it.

Why couldn't it be GSP? The Bisping fight isn't finalized and there's tons of backlash on the UFC for making that ******** fight that holds up the belts and doesn't close the circle on the WW belt.

Plus it's the money fight Woodley wants.

If they run Diaz-Woodley it's probably time for every fighter that's top 10 and not a draw to hit free agency.
