Awesome! I haven't been this excited about somebody making their debut since Eddie Alvarez. Out of all the WSOF champions that are making their way (or going to) over to the UFC, Marlon has the best shot I say at getting to the top. Very excited for this matchup!

Marlon will not be able to score a finish in his debut but winning the scorecards vs Assuncao in an entertaining fight will be just as impressive.

kinda weird that assuncao is the underdog. would like very much for moraes to make his arrival known with another highlight reel finish, but assuncao is super durable and can hang everywhere. hope i'm wrong.

I'm surprised to see Moraes at -215 (just checked now -170 opened at -200 ish) but i'm not surprised he's the favorite, but it's a super tough fight.I wouldn't say Moraes is untested,he's just untested against the top tier guys in the world which Assucao is,but he's also been clearly well above the good opponents he has faced.

I would say Hill,Sheymon Moraes,Silva and even Rettinghouse could fight in the UFC,with Hempleman, Nam,Beebe,Bollinger and of course Miguel Torres being other good names he's beaten. He's for sure fought good competition, and smoked them for the most part especially lately.

For me he is tested because after a lot of decent competition we can see their skillset enough to judge them as opposed to a guy who looks great fighting absolute nobodies.I consider him tested enough to get an idea of how he'd do against the best guys in the world so i'd say he's been tested, but that's a matter of opinion,I could understand how someone could say he's untested when considering him against the best in the world.

This is a phenomenal fight and a true test for both competitors.I could see either guy winning but i'm leaning toward Moraes,he's where he belongs imo,he's not a question mark to me I think he's the real deal.
