He did, but that was when he was in a no risk position that Nogueira put himself into. When he was in a dangerous position (Nogueira's guard) he did nothing, didn't look too pass, didn't look to gnp, just tried to control him and avoid putting himself into bad positions. What's funny is Nogueira had control of him the whole time, he had Davis' wrists on lockdown and was offering the only offense on the ground.
"I won't lie he didn't do much while on top of lil Nog, but his ground game isn't really a GnP style. He is more of a grappler and looks for positioning and subs more so than just doing damage."
That's very true but he had no intention of out grappling Nog. He should have tried to pass the guard and go for submissions (as Jason Brilz did) if he really wanted to get into a grappling match, but he just defended submissions and offered no offense at all, whether that be passing, submissions or gnp.
