Prediction: wrong Velasquez   wrong Decision  

Both are good on their feet, technical power punchers. Cardio wise, Velasquez for sure, and havn't seen any submission game from either. All else being pretty equal, I guess it comes down to the better wrestler of the two, and while Dos Santos has shown good defensive wrestling and great hips to get back up, Velasquez' wrestling is better than any Dos Santos has seen yet.

I have to say I am really pumped for this fight.  It's a hard fight to call because both of these guys are packing heavy artillery and I don't know how effective Cain's ground game will be.   But I'm thinking JDS can keep it standing long enough to knock out Cain.  I think JDS has superior technique in the stand up game and enough power to get Cain in serious trouble.  If Cain gets him down though he will have serious problems.  Ultimately, JDS technique prevails and he beats Cain senseless.

This is the most excited I have been for a fight where there was no animosity between the fighters. I usually like some verbal warfare leading up to a fight. But not in this case.

@****estar definitely NOT the worst thing that could happen.  It was a weird fight and a little awkward to see that happen after the hype.  It would have been a lot worse if the fight was a slow, grinding boring fight.
