Prediction: correct dos Santos   wrong Decision  

Velasquez is the better fighter overall in my opinion. Both of these guys can take a punch that's why i'm going with the decision.

I think back to the Kongo fight though and Cain got rocked 2-3 times, and Dos Santos won't let him off the hook like Kongo did.

@beast- I agree with your fighter;however, I feel that it won't go to a decision. That would be a 5 round Heavy weight fight which I know we all Know that! Point is, I don't feel JDS Cardio is no where near Velasquez. Look at JDS past fights, he's pretty gassed. I know that fighters learn from prior fights, but I still think it will be a stoppage in favor of Mr. Cain..

Tough to call, I'm going with JDS being able to defend Cain's TDs and picking him apart standing. Also, Cain is coming of a long lay off...his cardio is questionable for this fight, imo.

Yea cardio is Cain's biggest asset imo.  That's what separates him from the rest of the top fighters in the HW division.  His cardio will be fine I think.

The way I see it, this fight could end in one of two ways, either JDS catches Cain in the earlier rounds and pounds out a victory, or Cain makes it a war for the first 2-3 rds, then turns to his wrestling to control on the ground in the later rounds and secure the win. I don't see JDS winning this by decision, and I don't think Cain can take out JDS with striking. Who knows, we might see a submission in this fight, from either fighter...

I think Cain will beat JDS up on the ground for all the first round and pound him out in the second, I dont think Cain will leave the fight standing at all

Just because he got rocked by cheick kongo doesn't mean its going to happen again, everyone makes a mistake the first time, I remember thinking the same way too before he fought lesnar.

Theres two ways of interpreting that fight… 1.) Credit to Cain for showing heart/perseverance/determinatio/finding ways to win
2.)Cains weak chin was exposed and its Kongo's fault for not finishing
#1 was closer to my perspective, there's something to be said for a guy who can still win when **** hits the fan, a quality not all champs have (mike tyson DID NOT have it)

Gotta give the edge to Cain.  I mean he's a cardio monster and I can see him pushing JDS.  Whether it be working the clinch game against the cage or making JDS defend the takedown in the later rounds.  I'm sure he's working his striking defense a lot because I can see him playing it defensively the first round or two.  Either way, I don't see either guy getting their lights turned out or even hurt enough to warrant a stoppage.

I went back and changed my pick for this bout.  Originally, I had Cain selected for a TKO victory but after looking through JDS resume and comparing it, I think Dos Santos has the better experience and quality of opposition.  Cain's victory over Lesnar was impressive, but it also exposed Cain just a little bit.  Dos Santos showed how dominant he could be over Carwin recently, but has shown it time and time again before that against tough strikers.  I don't think it will come as a surprise to anyone when Cain and Dos Santos strike it out for the duration of their meeting on FOX.  Because of that, I see Dos Santos taking a TKO victory.  I have it at round one but I need to change that after I give it some thought, because I highly doubt that Cain will let JDS get him that early.
