The rubber match that nobody really wanted to see. The two best fighters at Heavyweight right now not named Stipe Miocic. The winner of this will likely get another crack at the title. If he fights in the same reserved style we have seen from him of late Overeem will likely get the victory.

No way he wins that appeal,sorry but he must be ******** to spend court fee's to overturn a close decision that will never fly.I love Werdum but this is the dumbest appeal I have ever heard of,I hope this doesn't become a thing.

"I believe I won the first round by a small margin" then goes on to say Overeem won the 2nd and he won the 3rd.So it comes down to the first and you thought you won by a "small margin" so that's grounds for an appeal?Especially with no new rules in effect regarding the 10-8 rounds.I had it a draw personally.

Stupid appeal. Try actually doing something before the third round if you want to feel strongly you should have won. I personally felt it was a draw but appealing it is stupid.

Werdum must be trolling. It was obviously 2-0 Overeem going into the 3rd and honestly the 3rd was all Werdum but not quite a 10-8, he rocked Reem but 2/3 of that round was on the ground. Werdum blew it, he had Reem hurt and he took him down, stupid, he has himself to blame. And I laugh that he's spending court fee's without reason.

I had the 3rd a 10-8 round, but seriously, you can't complain about not getting the 10-8. I agree with mikeyg, if you've watched any of Reem's fights you know that once his legs go wobbly, he's just there for the taking, he was standing there letting Werdum tag him waiting to be let out of there and Werdum went for the double leg. Bad move, left it in the hands of the judges in a fight where, even though he thinks he won one round, it was close enough to be interpreted.

It's all on him.

I had it a draw but you can't rely on the judges to hand you a 10-8. Werdum can only blame himself for not getting the finish. There is only one way in MMA or pro-combat sports in general to guarantee victory and that's finish your opponent.
