Dana White was among those who thought Stephen Thompson did enough to take the welterweight title from Tyron Woodley in the UFC 209 main event.

Woodley (17-3-1 MMA, 7-2-1 UFC) retained the 170-pound belt in Saturday’s pay-per-view headliner at T-Mobile Arena when he edged Thompson (13-2-1 MMA, 8-2-1 UFC) by majority decision in a rematch of a UFC 205 bout in November that ended in a majority draw.

The rematch was thin on action and tightly contested, and in the end two judges scored the fight for “The Chosen One” while another had it as a draw. Only five of 19 media outlets tracked by MMADecisions.com had it for Woodley, and White was among the majority who didn’t score the bout in his favor.

It was a poor decision. Too bad it ended that way.

I ain't even mad. I'm a huge Wonderboy fan, but that fight was so lackluster, especially the first two rounds, that it doesn't really matter that the judges went with Woodley in those rounds.

I think the UFC would be better off without Woodley as their champ, but Wonderboy landed six shots in the 1st and eight shots in the 2nd. It's hard to get up in arms considering Wonderboy said that his biggest regret, coming out of the first fight, was that he waited too much and didn't pull the trigger. Those tendencies were even worse in the rematch.

Khabib had one weight problem and people act like it was every time. All the other times were injuries.

cuting weight from 190 to 155 may be a reason why he is alway injured

training in the same GYM as Velasquez may be an other reason.

Khabib had another weight cut issue in the UFC prior. He missed weight bad against Trujillo.

Kind of sad that in hindsight, Wonderboy was probably five or so kicks to the leg/body in the second round from being the champion.

Just for the pure chaos that would've ensued, I kinda wish the 2nd fight ended in another draw. Just seeing Dana's head get all red and finally explode would've been worth it.
