100% agree. Romero is getting shafted bad. Anyone else think Bisping sleeps GSP? Bisping's grappling is underrated. His tdd is against legit mws is outstanding. Of course it is GSP, but in my head, I got Bisping winning.

Does it really matter though? Yoel can sit back for a while and then smash the winner. If GSP beats Mike, what's he gonna do? Outwrestle Yoel? We all know GSP's gameplan. He'll have a hard time doing that to every single one of the top 5 at 185.

Kenedy take down Bisping so many time... Wut? kenedy the guys who got beat up by a WW Kelvin Gastelum??? GSP will controll Bisping to an easy decision (M'I opinion)

If I was Souza I will ask for a 205 title shoot! There no one to fought Corimier if he beat Rumble again and Souza will not get a title shoot at 185 before 2019. Even if he loose at 205, he got 2 years to win 3 or 4 more midelweight fight and return in a contender spot after that.

If GSP win, he will call for a unification bout with the winner of Woodley-Thomson.

Maybe at this time (early 2018) UFC will call for an interim belt between Romero and Rockhold...

@yoss

I agree that, when GSP beats Bisping (because I don't think it is even an if, layoff or not), he will drop the belt in his first title defense regardless of who he faces first.  I just dislike that the UFC is deciding to be more like boxing.

You can't really Unify belts from two different weight classes but I get what you mean. He will try to do what Conor did and hold two belts simultaneously. Also if GSP moves down at captures the 170 again expect GSP vs Conor at 170 lbs.

Bisping boutta make them seven-figures. Happy to see GSP back. Canada needs him. But he's fighting Bisping in his return. He might die.

Seems to be mirroring a Randy Couture situation.

Retired after a title match in a lower weight division.
And then coming back at a higher weight division to go after the title.

The difference being that the MW division of today is filled with killers compared to the poor showing of HW from back then.
I would feel more upset for Romero if he hadn't pissed hot so recently.

Should be an interesting fight though. And if GSP does win. He arguably cements his status of P4P best ever, at least for me.

I'm as excited for GSP's return as the next guy, but the dude has never even fought at 185, and there's a long line of contenders waiting for their shot at that weight.

I would have preferred he fight Woodley if he beats Thompson. If Thompson wins, then do the Anderson Silva fight. Oh well.

If GSP win here, he the consensus number 1 fighter, ever correct?  Only people who could potentially even touch it would be MM/Conor.  I had GSP as number 1 already, but I really dont see how there even be an argument if he win's here.

If it was anyone else, in the top 5, was holding the title at middleweight, no way GSP challenges for the MW belt.

In fact, if GSP wins there's no way he defends it against any of those massive killers at 185. He will fight the 170 champ or McGregor going forth. I'm picturing a 185 four man tournament in the near future.

Stupid fight, UFC is a joke now. Bisping needs to step the **** up and take his beating like a man, this **** is getting ridiculous.

For sure if GSP wins he will not defend it LOL

Can you see GSP against Jacare? haha Ok against Romero then? .. Hmm maybe Rockhold? Weidman ? Mousasi? NO WAYYY

I appreciate GSP a lot so i personally don't want the UFC to send him to the dog like a red meat. Hope it doesn't finish like Penn lol.

Looking at the fight against Bisping, i think he can do it. The fact he stayed active and trained decently these years because of possible return should limit the ringrust. Not the ideal weight for him but hey, he's the decision god right? The secret? A little bit of jabs, a little bit of wrestle****, some canadian judges and it's a done deal baby !

I don't think he can out-jab Bisping. If he can't get him down and keep him there I think he's ******.

Bisping's got crisper hands, better technique, combinations, much better foorwork and head movement. GSP's striking is pretty much a bunch of singular attacks that are there mainly to keep distance (because he's usually the more athletic guy in the cage and can close it faster) or to setup the TD. Jabbing a wrestler with an overhand right to death worked for him, but he will have to put Bisping on his back to beat him.

This is a one-off at 185, I'm pretty sure. I mean he actually told Dana he can make 155 while as he always said that to fight at 185 he needs time to bulk up (if he can make 155, I'm going to assume he hasn't bulked up). I don't think he stands a chance against anyone in the top 5 at 185 ... except for the champ.
