Without the threat of the takedown Aldo will be able to use his kicking game to the fullest potential , so expect his nasty leg kicks. Unlike in the Edgar fight where he mostly boxed. Also Aldo is one of the best at stealing rounds by doing some good work the last 2 minutes of the round. And this being in Brazil I just don't see how Holloway can do it other than stopping him which isn't an easy task. Also, if Aldo is getting lit up on the feet he can always fall on that underrated wrestling of his.

I take it you've only started watching Aldo when he fought Connor. If Aldo was going to has any residual effects after fighting McGregor I thought it would've been against has second fight against Frankie. However I thought he looked the best ever in the UFC in his last fight against Edgar.

@unbeknowst

When you look at Aldo in interview or press conference did he look like a champion? Even in the promo for UFC 212 he is looking like an old gatekeeper trying to stand in the top 15 ranking!

Maybe he could win this one, but I won't bet on it!

Every time Aldo loses "he looked different".

It's just so hard to believe that during his 10 year reign MMA has developed and that there are some styles that will show the many holes in his game that he makes up for by being a great game planner and an extraordinary athlete with amazing reflexes.

Aldo's Muay Thai is basic and predictable, he's just so fast on the slip n' counter you need someone with better striking fundamentals to expose it. Also, being taller or longer on top of those fundamentals helps (before you say "doesn't Frankie have those fundamentals?").

Also, ever since his cardio was exposed against Hominick, he times his blitzes so pushing the pace against him slows him down, problem is no one has the balls to push the pace against him.

He looked different in that he was not as energetic. He was not doing his dancing bit while going to the ring.
