Kind of a weird booking ... #4 vs. #21.

What? No Jacare vs Camozzi 3? I swear he's got Jacares number this time...

I guess Jacare really wanted to get back in there. Not sure what this does for his hopes of getting a title shot in addition to this being a HUGE risk for him. Maybe he feels just getting another win will help him. He probably knows he's not bypassing Romero, though.

I personally expect Jacare and Romero to be fighting again...for Romero's title.

Wow. This is crazy. No offense to Tim (I have huge respect for the man), but I feel as though this is a huge step down in competition for Jacare. Maybe it's just a case of him wanting to stay active while all the other contenders are booked.

To me the fight to make would be the rubber match between Jacare and Gegard. Who doesn't want to see that fight.

Credit to Boetsch for being willing to fight anyone. I'm sure most imagine his chances are pretty slim here. You never know though. Boetsch has won fights he wasn't supposed to before.

As for Jacare, it's not the worst scenario. He gets a very winnable fight, but still against a respectable name to add to his win list. It should be good to keep him warm until he gets his turn at the title. This is assuming he does get a shot after the title after this though.

***, man. Rockhold just tweeted that he's training everyday and down to 200lbs, after this fight was already announced. I hope that's just coincidence.

I guess Jacare feels he's running out of time and he needs to make as much money, as he can, as soon as he can.

@cheese

I would love to see Moose vs Rockhold. That fight would be nasty. Winner gets a shot no doubt.

If Jacare doesn't get a title shot at some point it would be a tragedy.

Romero landed one spinning back fist and evaded crucial take-downs throughout their fight due to fence grabs and wasn't penalized ******* once. That made it at least a draw if not a split win for Jacare.

My rankings:

Jacare Souza
Yoel Romero
Luke Rockhold
Chris Weidman
Gegard Mousasi

Guys are ducking jacare and still passing in front of him!

Bisping looking for Nick Diaz, GSp and Tyron Woodley to avoid Souza

Jacare beat Romero 2 rounds out of 3 but 2 judges didin't look in front of them during the fight!

The only mistake of Souza was to refuse the Mousasi fight (dangerous fight that bring nothing more for him)

Sad for Jacare. He deserves a better fight (no disrespect to Boetsh here but yeah, the matchmaking is really weird). UFC clearly don't give a **** about him; he is like the guy you use to plug a hole. So much talent wasted and he's running out of time.. I hope he get a well deserved revenge in the case Romero take the title (but my little finger is telling me the UFC will prefer to give the opportunity to a guy like Rockhold)

@loudenSwain 100% agree. I think it's the good choice to stay active and show his will to fight anyway what. He don't really have the choice, he's the kind of guy who will have to do twice the work and impress more and more if he want to get a shot.

Boetsch has had a few upsets in the past so this is a dangerous fight for Souza.

Call me crazy, but I believe Boetsch has a style that will give Souza problems. A lot are sadly underestimating Boetsch who imho is one of the most entertaining fighters in UFC today. He's such a great brawler and crazy crazy chin. Souza has craaaaazy grappling, elite class strong too if this fights on the mat, Souza easily takes it by Submission, but Boetsch is well-roubnded and I believe will give Souza troubles.

Though I think Souza should def be favored, I do agree that Boetsch stylistically is not a great match for Souza and is dangerous. I do have a feeling he going to surprise people this fight.
