Too early in their careers for this fight. These guys are two of my biggest prospects of 2016.

Really could go either way, Lando does not have this in the bag here.

World Champion where?It's not like he's some great kickboxer.He's good,but not near top level.World champion stuff gets thrown around too much.

Yeah 'world champion' can have the same problem that 'black belt' has, not really being legit. But to be fair, the European circuit in general for kickboxing is very high level and Teymur is pretty high level skill-wise. Maybe he doesn't have many accolades but his striking is up there.

I think lando's grappling will be the difference. Great fight and this is why I love mma. Prospects in boxing rarely fight, whereas in mma, they fight all the time. Cody vs almeida comes to mind. Jones vs Bader was another. Although those two were a little farther along. A loss against another top prospect doesn't kill a prospect either. Aljo just lost to meisha's husband, but I still think he will be a factor at 135 as well. Holloway's loss to mcgregor hasn't hurt his career at all, and now that's a rematch I would love to see.

This is one of the harder fights on the card to predict. Both guys have bright futures ahead of them, but I think Vannata has a higher ceiling. Fan of both guys, though.

I dropped the ball on this one ... had a feeling Teymur would outstrike Vanatta, but also felt that when that happened Lando would outwrestle him.

The fight was close enough on the feet for Lando to not go full wrestler and Teymur has also improved his grappling tenfold since his first UFC fight.
