I am out on the east coast (VA), but I work nights so I do most of my picks/posting/rankings on this site in the middle of the night.

I live out in Chesapeake. I came here as my first duty station in the Navy back in 2004 and been here ever since, I am out now and still living out here working and going to school. Did you get any effects of Hurricane Irene out in Great Falls?

Wasn't there for the hurricane, I live in San Diego now. I was only in VA for 4 years (went there for high school, my dad was living up there at the time so I went to live with him and to go to a better school)

Oh sorry, I am kind of a walking zombie in the middle of the night like this at work. I thought you currently live in Great Falls. I had a chance to get stationed in San Diego a few years ago but passed it up to stay in Norfolk.

Its all good, lol. I like SD, the weather is predictable, except it freaking never rains! But I've been here on vacation twice before, once in summer 2006 and once in winter 2009 and both times it rained, in fact there was an earthquake (which everyone in my family except me felt) when we were here in 09. So far in the last month I have yet to see rain at all, not even a drizzle yet.

Just in the past year I've seen a tornado, a hurricane, an earthquake, and a snowstorm with over a foot of snow. VA weather is crazy and unpredictable to say the least.

I remember last Jan/Feb when we got 2 feet of snow, school got cancelled for ~2 weeks, but I was tasked with digging out our driveway, which was on a hill. Took me about 6 hours to do the whole thing, but I was lazy with it.
