Justin Jones is fighting someone else,Jose something couldn't hear

Vanderpool vs Bustamante is a 160 catchweight

Diaz vs Chavez is NON title bout (Chavez was not present at the weigh in) I think still trying to cut weight?Which would likely be the reason it was changed to non title.Assuming 3 rounds, they didn't say.Chavez's last fight was 155 not 145 and that followed a 150 lb catchweight he had (and some in the past),I would assume he couldn't make 145

source is the weigh in stream I posted above(still watchable).

Fights they didn't show, not sure if time didn't permit,or fights were scratched.

Anthony Taylor   vs.   Evan Solorio

Sergio Quinones   vs.   Jeremiah Labiano

That's sucks if it's not going down,I like Labiano even though he's not that great. Also,I used to be a fan of Cody GIbson pre UFC and some of the UFC.I really can't stand him now, seems like such a d-bag.

Chavez is a late replacement and usually fights at 155 so I'm guessing you're on the money with weight being the reason it's not a title fight.

This card was going to be one of Tachi's best cards ever.

First the Felkins vs. Espinosa fight fell through (this was my fav fight on the card, both super talented prospects), then Culley got injured out of his title fight with Diaz (Chavez is a great replacement, but with so little time to prepare, you saw what happened), Ruiz injured causing his fight with Velasco to get scratched (Velasco is a hard guy to find an opponent for on short notice), Solorio lost two opponents (Tobar is a beast and even his replacement got offered to fight for Bellator so naturally he pulled out) and got scratched, Labiano vs. Quinones was going to be a great scrap.

They ended up with a solid card, but this was going to be an amazing one. Sucks for them, they really put their heart into this one.

Jones really should have had the rnc there,or arm triangle,I thought he was really good with the guillotine too.I don't think he's improved at all since the UFC if anything let off the gas as far as improving and went backwards a lot.The few day notice guy should have been easy pickin's for him skill wise but, well he looked mediocre at best is all i'm saying. Now he says he's done making 205 cause it's too hard,he's not even a real thick 5'11".After seeing this and his last fights since getting dropped from the UFC,particularly his fight before this where he looked iirc dreadful, imo he has no future besides being some guy that's an ok fighter.Just seems like he doesn't care,It's a paycheck I guess.

Aveles' finishing sequence of Ricetti was beautiful. Why so little MMA fighters, even at the top level, mix body shots into their combinations is beyond me. Most of them will throw a body shot as a singular punch, but only a few throw them mid-combination.

It's such a beautiful thing to watch when the head-body combos land and they almost always finish the fight because the unexpected body shot will crumple anyone.

Some early mma when I think of body work, not a real technical example like in boxing, but fun in the end how he mixed it up.Bas 101
