From the day this event was announced Venator having being grabbing the attention of MMA fans and media across the globe and this hasn't changed today as a result of the weigh ins (in case you live in a cave - Mayhem missed weight by 24lbs!!)

The action kicks off at 5pm local time (11am ET) and the guys over at MMATV have the stream available for purchase.

Unfortunately I'm going to miss this, prior work engagement, so if any contributors are watching and want to add in the results as they come in - feel free. Otherwise I'll pop them in late Saturday night, early Sunday morning.

Edit - looks like there may be a free stream for the US and Canada. However it's difficult to say if it's just the top of the bill on the main card or all fights based on the link.

Just back in from my little soiree tonight and even though it's 1:10am here I've entered the results and updated the leaderboard. How's that for commitment? :)

Why did Soko use different gloves than anybody else? He wore white gloves that to me looked bigger. I was rewatching the GIFs of all the finishes posted by Zombie Prophet, and everybody else seems to be using the same brand of gloves, but Soko. He has a history of using loaded gloves before, his fight vs. Jimmo: http://realfightstories.com/2015/05/26/2011-tampered-glove-debacle-should-have-earned-pat-reid-a-lifetime-ban-from-combat-sports/
That **** is dangerous and crime if he used tampered gloves, and the likelihood of it happening increases in a country with no comission.  This guy Merenda reponded on twitter to several people asking him about the incident (and telling him about Soko doing this in the past) saying that everything was under protocol, but I dont buy it. Those gloves look very suspicious and Matt got KO'd. Just watch the gif. of the finish those gloves look modified and that might be a crime if he did it!

@kinsala  It does seem rather fishy.  Plus, based on the clip, Sokoudjou's gloves looked bulkier than Hamill's and didn't look like they fit right.

@Greenhornet Just checked again and all the fighters seem to be using black adidas gloves, but Soko. It's very suspicious. He is the only one that has different ones that look bigger. Plus, with Soko's history they shouldnt have let him had different gloves.

Word is on the street, on top of having mercury-filled gloves, he also had his mercury fillings/mouthpiece in at fight time.

Paul Harris is done. He either hurts someone bad by being stupid or loses easily.

@rap I know they say that MMA fans only remember your last fight but doesn't it strike you as a little ridiculous to say a fighter is "done" when he has a 4 fight win streak broken?

EWM beat Palhares, who beat Jake Shields, who beat Woodley and Maia. Therefore, EWM has the rightful claim as the true challenger.

@rappinpap  While I think you can argue Palhares may have taken his opponent lightly and didn't game plan properly, no way in hell is Palhares done.  He had a 4 fight win streak heading into this fight with Meek, beating (albeit controversially) names like Jake Shields and Jon Fitch.  And while Palhares is 36, I don't think he is verging close to retirement anytime soon.

I should restate in what I meant: He is no longer going to get the high profile fights. he has hurt too many people senselessly or lost fights that he was expected to win. I bet he wins his next fight but unnecessarily hurts his opponent.

@rappinpap  I don't agree.  I think Palhares still has enough of a name to get some high profile fights.  Maybe not in the States, but definitely in places like Japan.  I could easily see RIZIN signing Palhares for some fights against some decent opponents.
