- GSP makes his comeback. Fights Benson Henderson.
- UFC 200 breaks all the records (buys and gate).
- Fedor fights for Bellator in their Bellator: Dynamite 2 card. Fights Bobby Lashley.
- Rampage returns to Bellator and is allowed to fight for Rizin too.
- 4 UFC titles change hands by years end.
- McGregor holds two belts simultaneously.
- Nick Diaz' suspension and fine are both reduced.
- Zuffa sells the UFC.

Dominic Cruz fights 3 times and wins them all earning a titleshot
