I was inspired to make this thread by some earlier posts on the forums. This thread will be for fighters who are under UFC contract but haven't made an appearance in a long time for some reason and we can try to get more information.

Claude Patrick - Hasn't fought since December 2011, nearly four years ago. Pulled out of one fight in 2012 and was never scheduled for another. Was saying he wanted to come back at UFC 174 at one point but didn't and hasn't been scheduled or officially retired yet.

Adam Khaliev & Pascal Krauss - Were scheduled to fight each other at UFC on FOX 10. Both of them pulled out and haven't done anything since. Khaliev hasn't fought in 3 years and Krauss hasn't fought in 2.

Feel free to post others yourself.

@PilloryChoke I'm not sure what has become of Sean Pierson. From his Twitter it seems like he is devoting more time to his family and doing some charity work, so good for him. I know that he is a semi-professional video gamer, so he pops up at conventions and competitions once in awhile. He is still listed as a UFC fighter, but I don't think he will fight again. I imagine he'll continue to coach at his gym though. I met that guy once, pretty down to earth dude. I hope he is enjoying parenthood.

Figured I'd list some more people.

Tina Lahdemaki - Was in what was IIRC the first women's strawweight fight in the UFC. Hasn't fought since or had a fight scheduled and it's getting close to 2 years.

Chris Holdsworth - I know he had some issues with post-concussion syndrome or something? But I don't think he ever officially retired. Could be wrong.

Sultan Aliev - Thought he was a really good prospect, he debuted at FOX 14 last year and got annihilated by Kenny Robertson after he mistimed some spinning ****. Nothing since.

Nico Musoke - hasn't fought since FOX 14 either, he was turning into a reliably solid guy at welterweight.

John Hathaway - Had a fight with Gunnar scheduled last year but it got cancelled, has been out for 2+ years now. He has Crohn's disease and has been fighting pretty sporadically since being diagnosed with it but IDK if that's why or not.

Vinc Pichel - Hasn't fought since his fairly big win over Anthony Njokuani at UFC 173 2 years ago.

Joe Ellenberger - Has been out for a year and a half since being the first person whose hype train got ruined by Bryan Barbarena.

None of the guys I mentioned in my first post have returned. Krauss recently alluded on Twitter to some injury he hasn't fully recovered from but still hasn't retired.

According to Karim Zidan Adam Khaliev had some injury issues but was getting serious about making his return but this was over a year ago. He's been signed with the UFC for over 3 years but never fought for them, may be a record. Khusein Khaliev, who's also a huge prospect, is his brother.

Newest ones:

Claudio Silva has had several fights scheduled but hasn't actually fought in 2 1/2 years.

Antonio Braga Neto's getting close to 3 years with no fight and hasn't had one scheduled in 2.

Jimmy Hettes hasn't fought in 2+ years.

Chris Holdsworth has commented on STUD Radio, Team Alpha Male's podcast that he isn't retired, but was trying to work through some lingering concussion issues. In the meantime while he heals Chris, Danny Castillo and Justin Buchholz were inked into coaching deals with Team Alpha Male after they lost interim HC Martin Kampman.

So barring any setbacks, I believe his contract with Faber is up in 2017, so hopefully we see him back after that.

Todd Duffee never fights as it is but he's been out 2 years now and IDK why.

I heard that Duffee has a chronic back injury.

Few more...

Kenny Robertson - Got cut after two close losses, hasn't been signed or fought in almost a year.

Mike Pierce - Got cut after losing two fights, hasn't been signed or fought in almost 2 years.

Matt Wiman - Had a great comeback fight against Vallie-Flag, but has been gone almost 3 years.

Paul Sass - Had one fight since being cut by Zuffa, but has been gone almost 4 years.

Todd Duffee was knocked into the netherworld by Frank Mir, I'm really not surprised he's been out two years. That KO looked like some life changing **** from a guy eating tainted kangaroo meat.

I was at Matt Wiman's last fight, I always liked him. He had been out 2-3 years before that as well, I think his body just wasn't holding up.

Junie Browning will forever be my Where Are They Now fighter. He fought in October of last year, hope to see him resurface soon!
