They can't come close to competing with the UFC on "regular" terms (at least not without killing themselves financially by totally overpaying some A-listers - and even then I don't think they'll get the creme de la creme of the sport) and they've already shown they don't want to become a UFC feeder league like Invicta/RFA/Legacy etc.
This is more or less the only way you're gonna bring casuals to watch your real fighters if you're not the UFC.
I personally don't really care for these fights, but I get them and to be honest don't see any other way for Bellator to cement their brand in today's MMA scene.

Gracie is going to tap Ken again. He looked dead serious in that gi.
If you don't know who Dada 5000 is, watch the Dawg Fight documentary on Netflix. He's from the same Miami street fight scene that Kimbo came from. Even worked as one of his bodyguards too. There's definitely a story here that makes it an interesting fight.
Coker should showcase Darrion Caldwell and Michael Page on the undercard. There's going to be a lot of casuals watching and this is the perfect avenue to showcase his young talent.
