I think as long as Saffiedine can show up healthy, he can beat a good chunk of welterweights, especially someone like Jake Ellenberger at this stage. I hope he makes it to the fight, because he's wildly talented and it sucks to see him being put on the sidelines due to injuries so often.

It's sad how quickly Ellenberger went from an opponent who was a top contender from one who is one fight away from being cut. Saffiedine by decision.

No, what happen is he got off the roids.  He a clear case of soemone who got off the juice and then tried to make up for it by being more technical, accept what made him great was his ability to just juggernaut people. Once he got off the sauce, he was not able to keep that same pace up, he lacked the confidence and the ability to sustain his onslaughts.   Which is why he now so tentative and less imposing.  It less that people figured him out and more the fact he does not have the same physicality he use to possess nor the mental fortitude.
