Streetfight 32 man Grand Prix sign up (Nov. 13)

If you plan on playing please say in so I can get an idea of how many people will play.The winner will be the inaugural Streetfight champ.Standard single elimination.We really need 32 players to run a grand prix and crown the first streetfight champ.We have maybe 20-25 pretty consistent players.If you guys know someone that might like to play give them a shout please.

We will start the Grand Prix in 2 weeks,the weekend of UFC 193.If we are a few people short,the highest scoring streetfighters will get a bye the first week.Hopefully that won't happen.If we have a few too many players,the players with the least points in Streetfights will be dropped off.They will be alternates if anyone misses weight the first round.After the first round there will be no alternates.

If we are a decent amount of people over we will have a mini tournament,winner will get an automatic contender setup fight after the tournament.Winning that puts them in a #1 contender fight in the first streetfight after the GP ends, no matter the results they have in the 2 or so weeks after the mini tournament ends.

There will not be seeding,the GP fights will be selected using an online randomizer.I'll say what day and time i'll be doing it and post a picture of the randomized list with a time stamp.

For new players:
Name of the game is call someone out,or just put "in" and you'll get matched up with someone.Or you can say "someone confirm" and the first person to say confirmed with you is who you'll be matched up with.Tag teams are welcome also,you can have a single fight and a tag team fight.Fights have to be confirmed,so if you call someone out, your opponent has to confirm and write something to the effect of jon smith vs joe johnson confirmed.

If you want to do a tag team and don't have a partner just write "in for tag team" and you'll be put with someone (we need more tag teams).Results for Streetfights will always be updated in the thread.If it's not obvious,you pick the events selected for the weekend,if your score is higher than your opponents you win.Tag team is,you and your teammates score combined against the opposing team's total score.

A lot of new players already,if we can get 48 players top 16 streetfighters will get a bye the first week (can still fight in non GP fights that weekend).It's a decent possibility.I think it's important to try to figure something out so everyone that signs up can play,i'm pretty sure we'll have more than 32 now.In fact with the 7 new guys already that's 32 if put in with the guys who have played already.

People who have played before get an automatic spot in the grand prix but you still need to sign up and say in!I think if we go over 32 players which i'm sure we will,the highest scoring streetfighters over the 5 weekends that will be complete by then will get bye's.This way everyone get's to play.The cut off date to join won't be like normal streetfight events it'll be probably 2 days before the first event in order to organize the bracket etc.If you're going to play please say in asap so I can be organized and not have to scramble last minute.

Damn, I lost twice within 50 points both times. 

We are going to go over 32 players.The highest scoring streetfighters over the 5 weekends that will be complete by then will get bye's.So if we get 40 players,the top 8 scorers will get bye's,43 players then 11 bye's,you get the point.

Just a note for those that didn't know.The grand prix will not be seeded (in depth rankings will start following the GP) The placement in the bracket will be done using an online randomizer.After we vote on events to use for the first round of the GP I will say a day and time and i'll do the online randomizer which will have a timestamp for exactly when I said I was going to do it.Let's say we have 12 players getting a bye the first round,they will also have to make picks because if any of the 32 players playing in the first round miss weight (miss atleast 1 entire event) they will be removed and one of the players with a bye will be replacing him (would start with the lowest scoring of the 12 players with a bye).

A few people will probably miss weight,so i'm sure this will happen.Players with a bye can still compete that weekend against each other so they aren't forced to lose overall points,but of course winning or losing has no effect for them that weekend toward the GP.I don't want people to get any bye's, but it's important so everyone that signs up get's to play.After the first round of the GP there will be no replacements.

^Score-wise, that was already done, FTM.  Since I am in charge of scoring and I knew that.

Oh ok.The Grand Prix will last 5 weeks (or 5 weeks that we have a streetfight).Just to throw some other stuff out there,when people are eliminated they can fight in non-GP matches while the grand prix unfolds.When the grand prix is over,every streetfight there will be 4 players in a contender setup fight,2 players in a #1 contender fight and of course 2 players in the title fight.It'll be nice to have things on the line every streetfight.The first bunch were important,not just for when I implement rankings,but getting a decent system going and knowing what kind of interest there would be.

OK, I have to vent and I'm not going to look for the MLB thread, THE METS ARE STUPID MUTHER ******S
