Hello there everyone! We've reached the mid-point of the regular season and we've got one of those weekends coming up. With all the big boys taking a break we've only got one card above a tier 4, so it's looking like we're going to have some slightly more obscure promotions counting this week. And remember captains, we need three approved.
Tier 1:
None.
Tier 2:
1.
CES 30: Hard to believe that the most high profile card of the weekend is headlined by Julian Lane.
Tier 3:
None.
Tier 4:
2.
CRF MX 18: This one's been up for vote before, but in heavier weekends. Will this be the first Mexican MMA card for the BLC?
3.
Kunlun Fight 29: Billed as Russia vs. China. A nice four fights listed currently.
4.
Top FC 8: Not a bad looking top of the card, but not a lot of experience at the bottom.
5.
Ultimate Beatdown 17: A little three fight card from Malaysia. EDIT: @Wish has stated this will be filled out with ammy fights.
6.
Max Fight 16: Pretty solid card from Brazil.
7.
Fight Night at the Corral: Yeah Canada!
8.
STFC 36: Highlighted by a burnout contest (it's at a raceway).
9.
Demolition 25: Not a ton of experience on this card from Japan.
10.
Aspera FC 23: Very nice looking Brazilian card.

Let me check ahead and see what that would do. Pretty sure the way the schedule is right now we'd have a UFC event for each week of the playoffs. I'd rather have a crappy regular season week than a ****** finals.

Ok, right now the playoffs look like this:
Quarterfinals (9/18): WSOF 23, BAMMA 22, Titan 35, Bellator 142.
Semifinals (9/25): Bellator 143, UFC Fight Night 75, ONE FC 31.
Finals (10/2): KSW 32, UFC 192, Pancrase 270.
Week of 10/9: M-1 63, ONE FC 32. The next UFC isn't until 10/24.
I say lets deal with the slow week, it's the last we'll have this season.
And @Cthulhu, you've got to vote for three events.

Week 7: RFA 29, Road FC 25, Jungle Fight 80, UFC Fight Night 74.
Week 8: EFC 43, Bellator 141, Legacy 44, DEEP, IGF, DEEP Jewels, ONE FC 30 (mid-week).
Week 9: M-1 61, UFC 191.
Week 10: Legacy 45, Invicta 14, VTJ 7.

Ultimate Beatdown 17 has a bunch of ammy bouts, so I would suggest not including it in this weekend. I just haven't gotten the time to enter in those bouts.

Also,I know I have no say in anything but before I even seen this thread I put together a list of possible events so I could start training the ones I thought were for sure, and it sucks.If it means a better line-up at the end though, i'm all for fighting in the trenches for a weekend!I personally thrive on ****** events so,kinda my wheelhouse.I could see this weekend getting skipped though,and maybe if it meant lining things back up skipping this one...see if there's another week that could be skipped,maybe it could end up being an even better playoff.Just saying.

Combine this week and the next, somehow. Figure out a way to do that. Or something. These events are **** and we all know it. Every team plays their week 6 and week 7 opponent this week and the next. Teams can either go 2-0 1-1 or 0-2. I'm a genius? No one's gonna like this idea. I don't even know if I do. If not... lucky nuuuuuumba niiiiine

I think it's a phenomenal idea,but no reason to make it your week 6 and 7 opponents...just week 6 opponents for 2 weeks and then we slip back into a great schedule.Sounds nice to me, and there are a few events that would be fun to play on, and then we have a little win or lose buffer going into the next week.Make's it a little more interesting imo and we still get to make some picks for the week.Kinda win win imo.It's not like there isn't a few pickable events this weekend.We stay busy for the weekend and get a nice buildup for next weekend....spreadsheet wise there are no issues,I can't really think of any technical issues outside of that.Well,Toll's week by week graph,but he could use the totals of the 2 weeks as one or just have an extra week on his graph.All seems doable but i'm not doing the spreadsheets and I have had a few too many ginger ale's =/

I think that's actually a fantastic idea, to make the midseason flip-flop into a double-header. Of course we'll need to vote on it and put it into play starting next season, but yeah, I'm totally for it to spice things up a bit.

Since it's a double header, can we not just pick one thing this week? Which for me would be CES. Since it's the only card that's even halfway worthy of this competition. I see at least 4 events that will be shoe ins for next week and that are much better than anything this week has to offer. No?
Edit: Actually, just change my 1 vote to CES right now, and I'll just vote once the other captains have voted for 2 events that have no chance of getting in. Tee. I'll follow your goddamn rules, but I'll find a way to egg sploit them.
