While I don't exactly like Condit getting to leap frog 2 guys he has losses to en route to a title shot, I can't complain about Lawler vs Condit.  That's going to be an incredible fight.

The 170 divisional rankings are all over the place ... these are the best match-ups to make.

This fight will be brutal, but that's kinda obvious.I was hoping for this fight.Woodley is lucky to be once again in only a 3 round fight.I think #1 contender fights should be 5 rounds. In 3 round fights there's only a few guys I would pick over Woodley,in 5 round fights theres a whole bunch, including guys like Matt Brown. That's why I don't give a **** he didn't get a title shot.

@Kuma agreed. He also annoys me that he tries very hard not to fight in 5 round fights and he picks and chooses his opponents as well. Which is why I think they did this as a bit of a slap in the face to both Woodly and Hendricks. I think both guys annoy them because there rather difficult to deal with. Hendricks pretty much been refusing to fight unless it against the champ, so I think this is kinda like **** you to them and being like don't you assume we won't have people leap frog you if you decide to keep turning down fights.

I am just going to come out and say it here, I think Condit is going to finish Robbie.  I think Carlos Condit is the best fighter at 170 and is going to be putting mofo's away left and right over the next few years. I think he going to keep improving and is just going to become more and more beast. Also think he the best striker in the division with the best cardio and the best MMA guard in the division.

just have to say about Matt Brown and this isn't a slight but i really don't see him as a title challenger as in his last fight against Tim Means while entertaining showed a lot of technical flaws that could be exploited, namely him turning his back to evade Tim's strikes,he wasn't pressuring forward as much at all as we've seen before, leads with his face too much, and he wasn't showing the nuance that we've seen him capable of with his clinch game. I'm a Matt Brown fan but i'm not going to try and act like there aren't big issues in the way he fights.

Should have been the other way around. Hendricks vs Robbie Trilogy and Condit vs Woodley rematch. These are both good exciting fights, but rankings wise I'd have preferred Hendricks get the title shot.

LOVE these fights.

AnAlias, but were either of those "wins" definitive? One due to injury & the other closely contested, controversial. and too short. Obviously I agee with Kuma.

Or to put it another way, would you make either Woodley or Hendricks a favorite in a 5 rd fight vs. Carlos?

and Nogfan, I HATE what you have to say because I'm a Matt Brown fan and would still love to see him fight Condit and other top contenders but I had the same thoughts during the Lawler fight as he was constantly reaching and off-balance with his striking. :(

Personally I don't care Hendrick got passed over, because mainly I think finishing Thaigo Alves viciously and dominantly is more impressive then out wrestling Matt brown.

I also personally think Thaigo Alves would beat Matt Brown and would have fair much better against Johny Hendricks.

Not sure if this belongs in this thread or the Bash Dana thread but what about Dana saying on twitter that Weidman/Rockhold will be in December and the only PPV they have scheduled so far is 194. Surely they're not puttling all 3 of these fights on one card.

My guess would be that they're trying to go big for 194, but three title fights would be kinda crazy.

They not do three title fights since UFC 33 which was a fiasco time-wise.

Condit should be rematched with Woodley first
