Rumored for 192. Rematches tend to favor the loser, but Bermudez got slept against a Stephens that was reportedly nursing injuries.

Well,I couldn't complain about a rematch of this fight,i'm not sure anyone could.Just bleed wise of course, someone could say Stephens should face another guy coming off a win,but eh,i'd probably take the loser in a rematch.

A lot of fights blend together to me at this point but maybe they're making this because Dennis was winning the fight before the stoppage? I don't really remember the fight, but even so this rematch doesn't really make sense. I'm in favor of rematches when it makes sense but I'm not sure it does here.

It makes zero sense from a rankings or match making stand point really, but the fight was so good that I don't care. I wouldn't care if these two guys fought every few weeks. These two fighting each other will not be boring. If this rematch were a person it'd be Matt Brown.

Interesting analogy there^ if anything book rematches that were close fights that were fight of the night, fine by me. I think this rematch could probably go either way anyway.

The only reason that I can think of would be the fact that Stephens missed weight and didn't try to cut the remaining pounds.

I guess Stephens' weight is a decent enough reason for a rematch, but this still strikes me as bizarre.
Bermudez didn't have to take the fight after Stephens missed weight. He took the fight. He got stopped. They should move on.

Neither one of these guys are really ever in a boring fight. Bermudez is a better fighter then he's shown he just gets too reckless at times. He was winning that fight against Stephens until he got caught and I think if Bermudez can match his aggression with intelligence then he will win the rematch. All in all I'm happy about the rematch and if Bermudez wins the second fight wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd down the road.

Didn't take them long to make this rematch happen. Bermudez had this one in the books until Stephens got the one lucky shot in, but then again aren't all fights just one punch away from a different outcome?

I think I'll go with my original pick even though I got it wrong. Dennis UD.
