Initially, it's obviously super disappointing, but I want to see this fight almost as much.

Except he did not just beat siver. He on a five fight wining streak beating a top 10, a top 5 both dominantly and he beat Holloway who now a top 10 arguably top 5. People are just butt hurt about conner, pretty much no one in the division history has had a more impressive streak in the division before getting there first title shot except arguably Max who Conner dominated.

Also, McGregor clowned Holloway. I mean even if his knee didn't blow out...he was taking Holloway down with ease and mounting him, Bermudez couldn't even take Holloway down "buuutt wrasslin" stop being stupid, stupid. He stood with Holloway at Holloways range, dropped his hands, talked **** and picked him apart. He also iced Ivan Buchinger who is like a 29-4 LW right now with wins over guys like Mairbek Taisumov and Frodo Khasbulaev.
You don't have to count Holloway as a top 10 win because he wasn't legitimately in the top 10, though it was obvious at the time they fought he was better than some of the guys in it and would be a part of it given 2-3 fights to showcase himself furthermore.

People are so used to regurgitating that **** and it's starting to get old.
Mendes' ONLY fight that you could argue gives him a claim to a title shot between his TWO losses to the champ is Ricardo Lamas. He's already lost twice to the champ. Twice.
Frankie's wins in the last 2 years are a bantamweight, a retired shell of BJ Penn and a dude who was destroyed by a guy Conor dominated on one leg.
Are you seriously going to stick to your guns on the stupid "who's more desrving" thing? if you're stating that two guys who have already lost to Aldo are more deserving in such a clear cut way I would at least expect to see a list of killers on their records since then. Both of them have one legit top 10 win since Aldo beat them. I'm not saying Conor's more deserving, nor am I not, I'm saying that all of them are more or less equally deserving and in cases like these, you usually push the fresh contender who can actually generate some interest to the fight forward. It's not like Frankie and Chad have been cleaning shop since their losses and Conor has been fighting the McKenzies and Meza's of the division ... oh, wait.

Frankie Edgar 0 wins at 145 before he got a title shot at aldo.
Chan Sung Jung 3 wins streak over poirer, Hominick, Leonard Garcai
Ricardo Lamas 4 fight win over Erick koch, Hatsu Hioki, Cub Swanson Matt grice
Yet connors win streak below is inferior to these? Are people kidding me. It ridiculous to me that people can't see how they hold him to far higher standards and don't see there own bais they have against him
Id take this win streak over any of those four, most of which it not even close. Only person I argue had him beat is Mendes and even then it was not by much.
