Im excited for the Sims/Montgomery fight.
Sims is pretty well rounded with some nice boxing. He got some slick timing on his doubles and changes righty to lefty smooth with some power but he's a LW vs a 6'4 WW who can finish.

The way I see it, Sims can fight (everywhere) and Montgomery can't (he's ok at it I guess, but nothing to write home about). He's got his length and height that have helped him so far but Sims, I feel, is good enough to deal with that. He's got great footwork, KO power in both hands, solid wrestling, good jitz defense and is all in all a high level fighter in the making once he drops back to 155 while as I feel Montgomery's going to be in the UFC for 2-3 fights tops and fade back into journeyman land.
Also, Sims trains with Brandon Thatch, so the size advantage won't be something he's completely new to. Thatch is no 6'4" welterweight, but I'm pretty sure he gives Sims a much harder look than Montgomery ever will.
Can't say I'm 100% positive in my pick and am not saying size doesn't matter but I think in this specific case the skill level gap is too big to be made up with because of reach nor do I feel Montgomery's the guy who knows how to make it matter.
I may be selling Sims too high or Montgomery too short though.

He's the same size as Brock Jardine, who Montgomery just KOd. Brock took a pretty predictable shot and caught a knee. sims looks to have better timing on his shoot and certainly looks to have better striking defense. Brock hurt Mantgomery early and Sims is better at range,footwork and distance. The kid can finish. Hopefully he comes through.

YOLO YOEL! I honestly think Machida may be on the downside of his career due to his age. I could be wrong. I just see Romero as being able to run into the counterpunching buzzsaw that is Machida and land his own big shot. I'll probably be wrong as per usual when picking against Lyoto.
