Duffee will maul Mir.  It's just a question of whether Mir can catch a submission before getting put all the way out.

This is going to be a fun fight to watch; and as much as I don't want to pick against Mir again after his amazing KO against Bigfoot, Todd Duffee is going to win this one.

Duffee is definitely the better striker, but he has a suspect chin. Frank Mir has the experience and more than one way to end it, but he's getting old, and really just a shell of what he use to be. So, I'm going with duffee by late first round TKO.

This is one of those fights that for me it depends how far Mir has fallen. Mir at his best is much better than Duffee. Mir is bigger than Duffee. Half-assed Mir is still much better on the ground. The truth is though at a certain point Mir will get run over by guys like Duffee, but I'm not sure if he reached that point yet. I'll root for Duffee for sure though.

Mir bigger than Duffee? Not so sure, Duffee is just a lot leaner but I'd think they're relatively the same size, if not Duffee a tad bigger.

@Nomad. They are both 6'3" but Mir is at 260 and Duffee is down around 240. Doubt it will matter at all but worth noting.

If this fight hits the mat, it's clearly in Mir's world. But on the feet? I don't think Duffee is necessarily out of trouble there either. By no means do I think Mir is "back" following the Bigfoot win, but even as short as that lasted, you could see some clear improvements in Mir's striking, which was already pretty decent to begin with. Duffee is powerful, but so is Mir. His technique is still there, his chin just isn't too reliable. But Duffee's chin is also suspect. I imagine Duffee will come in a sizable favorite, and Mir would be a decent underdog to bet on. I think he takes it.

Eh, I think this could be a cool fight to see live, you're nearly guaranteed a dynamic finish no matter who wins the fight or how.

I agree. Mir with wicked first round submission and if Duffee does not tap its snap for him.

The thing here is Mir has been working to improve his striking and Duffee has one weapon his power shot. It's a tough call but I almost feel Mir has more weapons to win in this one on the ground or maybe even standing.

Picking with my heart here. Look at the level of competition in their last 5 fights... it's not even close. Mir can do this. Please, Frank, I know you've still got it in you.

Duffman should be able to quickly out-athlete Mir, but all it will take is one sloppy movement and Mir can get a takedown and end this via sub..

I want to pick Mir. Duffee's chin is concern, along with his untested cardio. 

I'm still leaning toward Duffee do to his explosive power, speed and TDD. 

Mir is a great grappler but Duffee has had some strong TDD at this point of his career. 

That being said, if Mir gets control, it's  ballgame.
