We're inviting you to come try out our latest creation, Finishers MMA Game.

Finishers is a new way to play MMA fantasy based on the knockout and submission abilities of fighters. The site is currently in closed beta, by invitation only.

We want you to be the first to try it out. If you're interested, reply to this thread and we'll send you an invite code to enter. UFC Fight Night 63 this Saturday is the first event open for play.

Gregory, Skelliher and I spent the past few months with an abacus, a protractor and crayons crafting a great way to play MMA fantasy online. Some of our mods are already members. It doesn't replace any Tapology features, and feel free to discuss it here on the forums. We really hope you like it.

Please note: our invite codes will go to the Tapology email listed on your account. If your email's a fugazi you won't get the invite and we won't know it. See you inside!

Reminder: You can join multiple games and you can form multiple teams.

Probably a small bug.  This is why it's still an invite-only beta.  So that you can help weed out any issues!

The new game is great, fun to play for free but I like to have something on the line so I'm not going down lightly :)  I've met with a Washington State Gambling Commission Commissioner down in Lacey, WA, she was absolutely worthless.  I've spammed legislators daily for the past week in regards to the exact bill that would make this game legal here (with actual money involved) that hasn't passed in multiple forms the past few years, but has an active version this year:





My constant spamming of legislators the last week got a Senator from my district get in contact with me responding to one of the emails I'd sent to basically every politician in the state a few times over in different wordings: 


and I'll be meeting with the Senator on Thursday, will speak against the state gambling commissions opposition of the bill at the next meeting at the state capital addressing the bill if I have to.  I'm going to do anything I can to pester those in office into passing the bill even if it's just to stop getting emails from me if I have to.  Really, it's an obvious bill that should've been in place years ago, no idea why the gambling commission opposes it yearly and it comes out in a new version the next year, but having met with someone from the gambling commission already and going over what bill it is, they definitely have a raging clue that they feel it necessary to squash this yet again.  I can make more noise than they can even if I'm lacking in their political connections, only because all politicians make me feel like I'm at a used car lot and about to buy a lemon.  I have no shame in overloading them with email/text/calls if it means this long overdue bill is passed by the end of the year.  At least I'll have done my lifetime's worth of civic duty and the daily pestering will pay off.  If nothing else, I've found something to entertain me for months instead of accepting a ******** law that tells me I'm committing a felony every single year I play fantasy football for cash with friends.  Wish me luck!  ;]  (Not trying to hi-jack, just am actually making progress on this, keep signing up for the game to get picks in for this weekend's event!)
