gotta love how one of the best Featherweights in the world and one of the few guys on Bellators roster that could succeed in UFC is getting second billing to this garbage.

I got tickets to this event with Live2, so I'm actually some what excited for the main card outside of the main event. Pitbull/Weichel, Chandler/Campos, and Lashley/Thompson with a side of Straus sound like a good time to me.

@curtwag As much as I don't want to say this, what do you expect? As disgusted as I am with Bellator making the best Featherweight fighter not in the UFC (and a champion no less) play second fiddle to an overrated heavyweight that has no ground game and little to no actual striking skills; not many people know who fighters like Patricio Freire and Michael Chandler are outside of the hardcore MMA fan base, but ****loads of people (for better or worse) know who the hell Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock are.

From a business perspective, as much as I hate Kimbo, I think Coker is pulling a smart move by having Kimbo and Shamrock main event.  By having Kimbo and Shamrock main event, it draws in people that don't watch MMA normally that Coker can convert and expose to the real talent that exists on Bellator's roster like Pitbull, Weichel, Straus, and Chandler while they wait for the main event.

I just hope Coker doesn't make Kimbo out to be something he isn't (which is an elite fighter), the way Elite XC foolishly made him out to be until Seth Petruzelli ruined that by KO'ing him in 14 seconds.

Of course, mma fans watch mma,so it's kind of a given people will talk **** about a stupid fight like this and still watch it,especially considering there is a few good fights on the main card.Only very casual fans will tune in solely for the Shamrock/Kimbo fight and fortunately for Bellator, there is a ****ton of those. Most of those casual fans aren't talking **** about the fight because they don't know any better.

Going to be there live and I am excited for Shamrock/Kimbo, it's dumb as **** but I watch MMA to be entertained first and foremost. If Shamrock heel hooks Kimbo or if Kimbo flatlines him it will be worth it. More excited for that fight and Colossus/Lashley than I am for Chandler, Straus, and Pitbull/Weichel.

Dumb question; Shamrock weighed under 205 & Kimbo weighed heavyweight.   How can two different weight classes fight?  Is it an official catch-weight?
