The final sequence of the fight was so weird.  They both stopped fighting before the bell and then Jones was like oh maybe I'll keep going.

@Gregory Here is my take on that. Cormier is trying for the TD as a final taunt Jones raised his arms in victory to show how easily he stops Cormier's takedowns. Cormier thinks he didn't hear the horn and lets go thinking the round is over and Jon knows it's not. SO when Jon feels Cormier let go he thinks Cormier is switching strategy from wrestling to striking and Jon unloads a last minute combo catching Cormier by surprise since he thought the fight was over then Cormier retaliates as the horn sound and misses Jones but lightly clips Herb Dean.

Even if they were legal a soccer kick would have never happened in that situation.  I've seen tons of finishes with soccer kicks and I would have to say more than 95% of them happen to a fighter who is pretty much already out or rocked badly.  Socker kicks are rarely if ever a fight turning moment.

I like how everyone is trying not to realize there were no finishes on this main card. Fun but not pleasant fact: this was the first PPV since the morbid UFC 33 to feature all decisions on the main card .

UFC 33 had three title fights though and all were dull.

I like how so many people were saying DC was going to "rag doll" Jones and then if anything it was the other way around. All the decisions were pretty surprising but I don't think it was the worst main card I've ever seen.

I think we are all very aware there were no finishes on the main card. In fact most the fights were pretty dull unfortunately considering this will be the highest selling PPV since Weidman vs Machida and maybe even since Weidman vs Silva 2. Fortunately you had some nice finishes on the prelims.
