I gotta say, I really like the way that the fighters are handling the build up to the card. Bermudez, Lamas, Werdum, and Hunt all seem to just be having fun and actually enjoying being around each other. I gotta say, I like it more when you can tell the guys genuinely enjoy what they do for a living. Unfortunately, the card as a whole is pretty weak. There's only about 4 fights that I'm interested in beyond just being a fan of MMA.

Eye vs. Smith should be on the main card. I can't think of a single good reason why this fight is buried on the under card.

I think it's so they'll be seen by more casual fans on FS1. Should be a great scrap.

Tonight's UFC is going to be very interesting. Poor air quality and extremely high elevation. We're 2000 feet above Denver here.

Agree about the quality of the card as a whole. 3 good fights with a small possibility of a fairy tale. I'm a big fan of Bermudez and even bigger fan of Kelvin and to a lesser extent Eye so this card has  the possibility to break my heart but I'm going to pick all 3.

With Cain dropping out and Bellator going the freakshow route with 1 exception, this is a great opportunity for WSOF to steal the show with hardcore fans although it'll be seen by few.

If Mark Hunt wasn't fighting on this card, no one would watch it. But if every fight goes to boring decisions and Mark Hunt gets destroyed in the main event, this card is going down with UFC 149 as huge mistakes.

@michigandolphin

I could acknowledge that reason if they were the last fight on FS1 and leading into the PPV. However they are near the bottom of the prelims, behind two TUF fights. Fights that a lot people who have seen the show have said are made up of guys that are lower quality of fighters then the UFC audience is accustomed to.

I can't imagine Eye vs. Smith being a dull fight. In fact I think there is something to be said about giving the paying PPV audience the card that has the best chance of being the most entertaining and filled with the fighters that are fighting for high stakes.

I don't care that adding Eye vs. Smith to the PPV wouldn't equate to more PPV sales for UFC 180, because the UFC should be making it the goal to have everyone that buys the PPV walk away from the event excited to buy the next event because the main card start to finish had exciting fights and was worth the price.

With my picks, I'm either underdog hunting, picking with great intelligence and analysis, or I'm the biggest idiot of all time (on the last 3 fights anyways). Only the results will tell.

I know the consensus is that this is a weak card, especially for PPV and I agree but there's a few guys on the undercard that look pretty decent like Cannetti and Vera. As for the finales, Morales and Quinones both seem like they will win and of course Jessica Eye <3 will steal the show.

Was made weaker after Cain pulled out.  He has many fans but just as many or perhaps more want to see him lose.
